New Disneyland Alaska Airlines Plane Details

The plane's artwork is inspired by the recently reimagined Mickey's Toontown at Disneyland and features images of the “sensational six” Disney characters: Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck, and Daisy Duck. You can also find Chip ‘n' Dale on the boarding doors and winglets!

It took artists more than 400 hours and 20 days to hand paint the impressive design of the aircraft exterior from nose to tail. You can see a behind-the-scenes video of how the plane was painted:

New Disneyland Alaska Airlines Plane Inaugural Flight

After a special gate ceremony in Seattle featuring Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Mickey's Toontown Express made its inaugural flight to Orange County, California. Mickey's Toontown Express is now flying on routes across Alaska Airlines’ network, and guests will be able to fly on it for several years before it reaches the end of its normal rotation.

While supplies last, passengers on the plane can enjoy activity books and snack packs with designs featuring Mickey Mouse and friends.

We love this new Toontown-inspired plane design! If you are traveling by plane to Disneyland, be sure to see our guide to flying to Disneyland for guidance on the best airport to fly into and tips for getting to the Disneyland Resort.
