Disney PhotoPass photographers are stationed around the parks, ready to take high-quality photos to capture memories during your Walt Disney World day.
Certain attractions will take photos mid-ride, accessible through the My Disney Experience app, with photo downloads of these ride photos included at no cost with the purchase of Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Our page below covers the key things you need to know about Walt Disney World's PhotoPass service.
Walt Disney World PhotoPass
You'll find Walt Disney World PhotoPass photographers at popular photo spots around the parks and many character experiences. You can find all PhotoPass locations in the My Disney Experience app by filtering for it on the interactive map. You'll find PhotoPass photographers at iconic spots like Cinderella Castle, Spaceship Earth, Tree of Life, the Millennium Falcon in Galaxy’s Edge, and more.
Once you go to your desired photo spot, the PhotoPass photographers will help pose you and take quality pictures that you can access to download via the app once they are linked to your My Disney Experience account. You can also ask for a Magic Shot, where photographers will pose you and digitally add a character or another fun Disney detail into your photo.
You can also enjoy PhotoPass downloads of photos taken on attractions, including Space Mountain, TRON Lightcycle / Run, Guardians of the Galaxy – Cosmic Rewind, Expedition Everest, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. As you exit the ride, you'll walk through a room with screens showing the recent attraction photos taken and you can scan your MagicBand to link the photo to your account. For most attractions, the ride will sense your MagicBand and link the photo to your account automatically.
You'll also find PhotoPass photographers at all the formal character meet and greets in Walt Disney World.
To link and access your PhotoPass photos, you'll go to the My Disney Experience app and tap “≡” (three lines in the bottom right corner of the screen), then tap “Photos.” Here, you'll be able to link attraction photos by entering the attraction ID on the photo monitor, link a PhotoPass card by scanning it, or show a code to a PhotoPass photographer so they can scan it to link photos to your account. Or simply use your MagicBand for the PhotoPass photographer to scan.
You can see our guide to PhotoPass and the paid service Memory Maker which includes all your photo downloads at Walt Disney World for more details on how the service works and tips for taking the best photos. See details here:
