Two Restaurants at Disney’s Yacht Club Closing for Refurbishment

Yachtsman Steakhouse is scheduled to close for a “refresh” in May 2026, with reopening expected by August 2026. There has been no specific closing or reopening date, nor any further details on what this “refresh” entails. While the restaurant could reopen with a refreshed menu, the possibility of a full redesign is likely to concern many longtime fans.
Crew’s Cup Lounge, the adjacent lounge at the Yacht Club, is also scheduled to close on February 23, 2026, with reopening expected in May 2026. This is also within the context of additional refurbishments at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, which include “visible exterior maintenance through late 2026, which will impact views from various locations throughout the resort, and at times, require alternate paths of travel.” In addition to this work, the Admiral leisure pool will be closed for routine maintenance through early May 2026.

These are some major refurbishments planned for Disney’s Yacht Club resort. I would not recommend staying here before May 2026 to avoid these major construction impacts.
‘Ohana View Impacted by Construction
Another fan favorite Disney World restaurant is going to be impacted by construction. Beginning January 15, 2026, portions of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will “undergo exterior maintenance.” During this time, the view of Seven Seas Lagoon from ‘Ohana may be obstructed.
The view from ‘Ohana, pictured above, is a big part of the ambiance of the dining experience at this popular restaurant. If you plan on attending ‘Ohana for the breakfast character dining experience or for dinner, be prepared for potential impacts to the view. This restaurant is often a popular choice for guests to view the fireworks from Magic Kingdom, but there are also other options for fireworks viewing from the hotels.
There is no specific end date for the impact to the view of Seven Seas Lagoon from ‘Ohana, but the webpage for Disney’s Polynesian Resort states construction is taking place from May 2025 through 2026, so it’s likely part of that general work, which also includes the reconfiguration of the front entrance roadway and bus area.
