One fan favorite restaurant in Walt Disney World is known for its popular, immersive atmosphere that our readers frequently call out when we ask about the best restaurants.

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is Popular for Good Reason

sci fi dine in hollywood studios restaurant

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is a 50s-themed diner-style restaurant with stellar milkshakes and burgers inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The best part about this restaurant? The entire theme is set up to take you to a sci-fi drive-in movie theater! This is consistently one of the hardest reservations to get at Disney World due to its popular, immersive atmosphere.

The inside of the theater is themed like an outdoor dine-in theater, complete with a movie screen, a light-up sky, and 50s style car speakers by each table. All of the tables in the restaurant are shaped like classic cars, and there’s a large projector screen showing clips of classic sci-fi movies.

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater

The theme at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater makes it one of our favorite Disney World restaurants. The movie clips are so fun and feature movie scenes such as aliens, mummies, robots, and more. The clips are delightfully cheesy, and kids get a kick out of these retro sci-fi scenes.

We love the level of detail here with the vintage kitchen touches, lit-up taillights on the car booths, and a sky full of stars. There are also picnic tables available in the back of the restaurant with an old-fashioned drive-in style concession stand.

Sci-Fi Offers Great Food Options for Families

Sci Fi Dining

The food at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is all themed to be 1950s American-style food with burgers, fries, and milkshakes. Adults can also enjoy a variety of alcoholic milkshakes, with our favorite being the Orbiting Oreos.

Sci Fi burger

The menu here is a good choice for picky eaters and young families since it offers so many familiar options like mac & cheese, burgers, french fries, and milkshakes.
