One of the best Disney World experiences is doing a monorail bar crawl around the Magic Kingdom resorts. These popular resorts are all accessible by Disney monorail, which makes it easy to stop at multiple lounges in one night, with each resort offering a completely different atmosphere and drink menu.
This is also a good way to experience some of Disney World’s most iconic hotels along the way. These are our favorite monorail bar crawl stops and what makes each one worth adding to your Disney monorail bar crawl. Where to Start: Transportation and Ticket Center or Disney Springs
Resort hopping on the Monorail resorts is one of the easiest and most rewarding ways to spend an evening at Disney World. Most of the bars and lounges on this list are walk-up friendly, meaning you can show up without a reservation and grab a seat at the bar or lounge area.
However, a handful of spots (like Enchanted Rose at the Grand Floridian and Trader Sam’s at the Polynesian) can get busy, especially on weekends and during peak season.
The combination of quintessential Disney World, the stunning views of Seven Seas Lagoon, and some of Disney’s best bars makes this crawl an absolute must-do. If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel or are an annual passholder, start at the Transportation and Ticket Center to hop directly onto the Monorail. Otherwise, park at Disney Springs for free and take the bus to the Grand Floridian Resort to kick things off.
Here’s how I would personally plan the Monorail Resorts bar crawl.
Stop 1 – Enchanted Rose (Grand Floridian Resort & Spa)
There is no better way to start this crawl than with a visit to the elegant and stunning Enchanted Rose.
Inspired by Beauty and the Beast, this bar is an absolute showstopper with its rich jewel tones, ornate rose gold accents, and an atmosphere that feels like you’ve stepped directly into the Beast’s enchanted castle. It’s sophisticated, romantic, and unlike anything else you’ll find on Disney property.
Signature Drink: Order the Lavender Fog — made with Winter Créme de Violette, Twinings English Breakfast Tea, Vanilla, and Cream. It’s a tasty adult version of a popular tea that’s also a great start to your bar crawl.
Insider Tip: Enchanted Rose is one of the busier lounges on this list, so plan to arrive right when it opens or check the My Disney Experience app for availability. Smart casual dress is recommended.
Stop 2 – Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto (Polynesian Village Resort)
From one of Disney’s most elegant bars to one of its most beloved, Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is a must-do for any Disney fan.
This legendary tiki bar is packed with quirky artifacts and interactive surprises that make every single visit feel like an event. When you order certain drinks from the menu, the entire bar comes to life around you. First-timers should pay close attention when their drink order is called. You’ll want to watch what happens. It’s loud, it’s fun, and it is absolutely one of the most unique bar experiences you will ever have.
Signature Drink: One of the most popular drinks on the menu is the Krakatoa Punch, a smoky, theatrical rum cocktail served in a signature ceramic tiki mug that you get to take home. Trust me, your souvenir cabinet will thank you.
Insider Tip: Trader Sam’s is small and fills up fast, especially on weekends. If you see a short wait, get in line immediately because it moves quickly and is absolutely worth it. However, if the wait for Trader Sam’s is more than 90 minutes, I suggest putting your name on the walk-up list before going to your first stop at Enchanted Rose.
Stop 3 – Wailulu Bar & Grill (Polynesian Village Resort)
Since you’re already at the Polynesian, make your way outside to Wailulu Bar & Grill.
This open-air lounge sits right along the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon and offers some of the most breathtaking views on all of Disney property. The vibe here is relaxed, breezy, and quintessentially Polynesian. It’s one of the most memorable places where you can kick back with a tropical cocktail and watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks light up the sky over the water.
Signature Drink: Go for the Banana Old Fashioned, made with créme de banana and St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram Liquer. It’s a great tropical take on a traditional cocktail, making it on-theme for a Polynesian-style lounge.
Insider Tip: This is a great spot to order a small bite to eat and recharge before the final stretch of the crawl. The Ahi Tuna Crisps are a great shareable, and the Pineapple Barbecue Chicken Sliders are extremely tasty.
Stop 4 – Steakhouse 71 Lounge (Contemporary Resort)
Afterwards, hop back on the Monorail and head one stop over to the Contemporary Resort for a visit to Steakhouse 71 Lounge.
This sleek, retro-inspired bar channels a cool, mid-century modern aesthetic that feels right at home inside the Contemporary’s iconic A-frame structure. It’s a great spot to slow down, grab a bite, and soak in the atmosphere before your final stop of the evening.
Signature Drink: Try the 1971 Sunset, a fruity and well-crafted cocktail that pays homage to the resort’s opening year. It’s a classic cocktail done exceptionally well, and it pairs perfectly with a plate of their famous onion dip if you need to refuel between stops.
Insider Tip: The lounge area at Steakhouse 71 is separate from the main dining room, so you can walk in and grab a bar seat without a dinner reservation.
Stop 5 – Geyser Point Bar and Grill (Wilderness Lodge)
The final stop on the Monorail crawl requires one small extra step to get there.
From the Contemporary Resort, take the complimentary boat launch or bus over to the Wilderness Lodge. It’s absolutely worth the extra effort. Geyser Point Bar and Grill is one of Disney World’s most underrated outdoor bars, situated right on the shores of Bay Lake with sweeping views of the water and surrounding wilderness theming. The atmosphere is rustic, peaceful, and incredibly scenic, especially as the sun goes down.
Signature Drink: Order the Black Cherry Mule, a refreshing twist on a Moscow Mule made with local craft spirits and served in a copper mug. It’s the perfect drink to wrap up a great evening at one of Disney World’s most beautiful resorts.
Insider Tip: If you time your crawl just right, you can catch both the Magic Kingdom fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant floating across Bay Lake. The music even gets piped into the bar, elevating your entire evening. Check the Disney World app for the current fireworks and parade schedule.
