Walt Disney World hotels provide perks for overnight guests, including free transportation around Disney World property and extra time in the theme parks. Expansion of Disney World Airport Luggage Delivery?
Disney World guests staying at select hotels who are flying to Orlando International Airport (MCO) on a Southwest Airlines flight can currently participate in Disney’s airport luggage delivery service.

With this perk, these guests can skip baggage claim at MCO upon touchdown in Orlando. Partnering with a third-party service called BagCheck, Disney delivers the guests’ checked bags directly to their hotel, free of charge. This perk officially launched in November 2025 after a test period that stretched since last spring.
This benefit is only available to guests staying at hotels in Disney World’s “value” tier:
- Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
Disney seems to have just let slip plans of a future expansion to this airport luggage delivery service.
On April 30, 2026, Disney updated the airport luggage delivery landing page on the official Disney World website to include United Airlines and American Airlines as eligible for this perk, along with the existing Southwest Airlines, then quickly removed United and American from the page.
The updated page reportedly contained the same set of eligible hotels, sticking with the value resorts rather than including Disney’s moderate or deluxe properties.
The current landing page is back to displaying Southwest as the only participating airline. This news was reported by WDW Magic.
This certainly seems like Disney is planning to expand this service to include more airlines, but perhaps published the information early by accident.
We know this would be welcome news for Disney guests, especially those who remember Disney’s Magical Express. The defunct service provided free transportation from MCO and delivered checked bags to all Disney World hotels. It was discontinued in 2022.
Mears Connect is now the most similar transportation service to the former Magical Express, but it’s not free.
Changes at Disney World Hotels
The possible expansion of Walt Disney World’s airport luggage delivery service to include more airlines is one of several ongoing changes at Disney World hotels.
New hotel perks will be available at four select Disney World hotels for a limited time as part of Cool KIDS’ SUMMER.
Guest rooms at Disney’s All-Star Movies will be renovated this year. The work will be performed in phases, allowing the resort to remain open during the makeover.
