Walt Disney World has released two new discount deals for 2025 which include savings on rooms along with ticket and room packages.

Let's break down these two discounts and compare which we think is the better deal to use when visiting Walt Disney World next year. These discounts may also be signals of a big price increase coming very soon.

Big Discounts From Disney World
Disney World is offering two discounts as we share and compare below. They both bring down the overall cost of a vacation. One offer is specifically focused on the hotel discounts and the other is focused on the overall package.
Disney chose to offer the $200 per night credit rather than offer the free Disney dining plan as they have done in the past. That means less overall guaranteed revenue in Disney's pocket and an overall less expensive trip for guests. This brings down the overall cost of a vacation by allowing guests to be more frugal with their dining budget and saving that money. This is a great deal that allows for more to visit Disney World.
The other reality of this increase is that it likely confirms that a price increase is coming to Walt Disney World and Disneyland in the next couple of weeks (see the likely dates in that link). As we wrote in our prediction of price increases, “Around the same time Disney usually also releases some kind of ticket discount promotion to soften the blow of ticket price increases…If or when we see a new discount rolled out it will be a good indicator that the price increase is just around the corner”. If we also see a discount for Disneyland announced this week also, then I will confidently again say that price increases are just around the corner. Having a discount just before a price increase gives Disney something to point to as the price increases roll out. REMINDER! Now, let's dive into the specifics of these new discounts for Disney World.
Walt Disney World Hotels Discount
The first discount offers savings of up to 25% on rooms at Disney Resort hotels January through April 2025.
This discount offers savings of up to 25% depending on your hotel choice and travel dates. The highest level of savings across hotel categories is through February 23 to April 30, 2025 with the lower tier of savings January 1 to February 20, 2025.
It is interesting that the higher end of the discount is offered starting in February through April which often coincides with the spring break season according to our Walt Disney World crowd calendar.
The more likely reason is that January and February are often some of the most affordable months of the year for hotel rates at Walt Disney World so Disney does not want to offer higher savings during this time period. It also might indicate that Disney is expecting higher crowds during this time which does coordinate with some holiday weekends that are notorious for crowds like Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Presidents Day.
This discount offer is going to be most appealing for guests staying at higher end deluxe hotels along with club level rooms since they are included in this savings offer. And of course, if your dates do not match up with the other savings offer released so far in 2025!

For deluxe hotels, guests can save save 20% on rooms for stays most Sunday to Thursday nights from January 1 to February 20, 2025. For most nights from February 23 to April 30, 2025 guests can save up to 25% on rooms.

The next discount offer for 2025 includes savings of up to $200 per night on a 3-night, 2-day Walt Disney Travel Company room-and-ticket package at select Disney Resort hotels.
This discount savings is valid for most nights from February 26 to June 30, 2025.
This offer carries into the early summer months and offers large savings for the highest priced hotels at Walt Disney World. Like with most offers, the higher category of hotel, the more money you will save. This offer is perfect for guests that want to take advantage of deluxe hotel stays which offer the largest amount of savings.
This discount offer is far more appealing than the other discount offer which caps out at 25% per night, depending on your travel dates and hotel category. You will see far greater savings with this deal! When I compare dates on the Walt Disney World website, this offer tends to come out on top every time.
