Disney “Status Match” Considered by Universal for Annual Pass Program

Frequent visitors to Orlando theme parks may find themselves purchasing annual passes to both Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort. In the future, Disney passholders could be further incentivized to purchase a year of Universal admission.

Keep reading to learn what this could mean for guests of both destinations. Mickey Visit brings you the latest theme park news and planning resources, including new dining discounts for Disney World passholders and changes coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2026.

Possible Universal Discount for Disney World Passholders

Universal is surveying guests about their interest in purchasing a Universal Orlando annual pass “at a discounted one-year trial rate” if they already have a Walt Disney World annual pass, according to Blog Mickey.
