Disneyland closes attractions for refurbishment throughout the year to do standard maintenance and implement any improvements. Disney California Adventure‘s most popular ride closed for an over-month-long refurbishment heading into the start of the Halloween celebration at Disneyland, and it has now reopened ahead of schedule!

Radiator Springs Racers Reopened Early Today
Radiator Springs in Disney California Adventure has been closed for refurbishment since August 18. The ride was originally scheduled to reopen tomorrow, on September 26, but it reopened a day early today!

During the closure, teams did routine work on the ride, like coating the tracks for racing, and made some other improvements, like upgrading all of the show lighting to LED and making audio, video, and network updates throughout the attraction.
This is the wait time for Radiator Springs Racers as of 4 pm today. We're excited to see that it is back up and running! During the Halloween celebration, it's extra fun to ride Radiator Springs Racers with colorful Halloween lighting on the mountain peaks behind the attraction.

The ride reopened around 1 pm today, according to ThemeParkIQ. As you can see from the wait time, guests jumped on the opportunity to get in line for this popular ride now that it has returned.
As this closure has come to an end, there is another one at the park that is about to start for what we refer to as the “most terrifying roller coaster at Disneyland.” There are also a few longer refurbishments happening at Disneyland Park, including Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which just recently extended its closure.
