Disney adults can soon have the chance to bring home their own piece of Disney theme park history, as Disney Experiences launches an auction featuring rare items from Disney Parks and Resorts. This includes items from retired attractions at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
Collectors can browse a selection of Disney Parks items ranging from retired theme park attraction props to an actual Tomorrowland trash can! Disney Experiences Auction Happening Soon
The D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is Disney’s major fan convention and takes place every two years in Anaheim, California. The 2026 event is just around the corner on August 14, 15, and 16 at the Anaheim Convention Center. The event features exclusive presentations from the company, behind-the-scenes experiences, entertainment, and announcements across the company’s many brands.
The 2026 schedule of panels has been released, and one notable event features an auction from Disney Experiences. The Disney Experiences Auction- Rare and Remarkable Finds will be hosted by Bret Iwan (official voice of Mickey Mouse, Disney Fine Artist) as guests take part in live and online bidding of verified pieces from Disney’s theme parks and resorts.

Some of these items feature old event signs from the 1990s, banners from the Disneyland 60th anniversary, iconic trash cans, and other items from beloved attractions like Haunted Mansion.
The auction features items from beloved theme park attractions that have since closed, including the original Disney California Adventure version of the Tower of Terror, which was transformed into Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, and Muppet*Vision 3D at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which recently closed to make way for the upcoming Monsters, Inc. land.
Also featured are Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride vehicles, likely leftover from the major refurbishment at Disney World, which replaced the track and the ride vehicles.
Wondering how much these items will go for? A very, very high price if past auctions are any indication.
A look at past items from Disneyland history on the same auction site commanded six-figure prices at a 2024 auction. A Haunted Mansion “Quicksand” Stretching Room portrait, an original hand-painted attraction piece from the Walt Disney era, sold for $90,000 at Heritage Auctions in 2024. Meanwhile, a 1967 Disneyland Autopia car with its original body, chassis, and tires sold for $180,000 in 2022, with its rarity and complete park-used condition making it one of the most valuable Autopia collectibles ever sold.
