Our article is going to help you figure out the best way to find cheap Disney World tickets to visit EPCOT! We visit Walt Disney World frequently and have the ways to save money on tickets dialed in. The below tips and information on discount Epcot tickets are all based on our own experience of visiting the parks.

EPCOT Ticket Types

When visiting Walt Disney World, the first thing you need to decide is what type of EPCOT ticket or package you want.

For the purposes of this article, we are looking at just purchasing park tickets, but you are able to book a resort and tickets or just a resort stay as well.

Currently, when booking EPCOT tickets, you must have a park reservation in addition to your ticket. For date-based tickets, this policy ends on January 8, 2024. Also, if you choose the park hopper option, guests must wait until 2:00 PM to enter the second park of their choosing.

For park tickets, there are multiple types to choose from:

1-10 Day Base Ticket

You visit one theme park per day on your ticket.

For guests booking only 1-day tickets, the theme park needs to be chosen when booking for a price specific to the park and no additional theme park reservation needs to be made.

1-10 Day Park Hopper Ticket

Guests can visit more than one park per day. Guests must make a theme park reservation for the first park they plan to visit. After entering that first park, Guests will be able to visit the next park starting at 2:00 PM until each park's regularly scheduled closure. The ability to visit a park is subject to the park's capacity limitations.

2-10 Day Park Hopper Plus Ticket

You can visit multiple theme parks each day of your ticket, plus enjoy a certain number of visits to other Walt Disney World fun based on the length of your ticket. For example, a 4-day ticket allows 4 visits and a 5-day ticket allows 5 visits.

For each visit, you can choose one of the following:

• Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
• Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park (Currently Unavailable)
• ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
• Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course
• FootGolf at Disney's Oak Trail
• Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course (one round; prior to 4:00 PM)

2-10 Day Water and Sports Ticket

You can visit one theme park each day on your ticket. Plus, you get a certain number of visits to other Walt Disney World fun based on the length of your ticket. For example, a 3-day ticket allows 3 visits and a 4-day ticket allows 4 visits.

For each visit, you can choose one of the following:

• Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park

Date Based Epcot Ticket Pricing Explained

Disney now offers tickets through date-based ticket pricing. This means that pricing is going to vary widely between a 1-day ticket to EPCOT versus a 5-day base ticket.

1 Day Tickets

Walt Disney World is now offering park-specific pricing for the 1-day theme park tickets. Prices will vary depending on what park you select to visit on which day. Magic Kingdom is typically the highest, Animal Kingdom typically the lowest, and Hollywood Studios & EPCOT fall somewhere in the middle.

When choosing a 1 Day Ticket, park hopper or not, you will choose the date you plan to visit one of the Walt Disney World theme parks and the ticket is only valid on that day.

2-10 Day Tickets (Multi-Day)

When purchasing a multi-day ticket, the Disney World Website gives you a calendar to pick the start date of your tickets. This will show you the price per day that you will pay for your whole trip.

You may be able to get a lower price on your tickets by starting your ticket window a day before or after your originally planned day. Tickets do not have to be used on consecutive days as long as they are used within the window booked.

Multi-day park ticket windows are:

• 1-Day Just the date you select
• 2-Day Any 2 days within 4 days after the start date
• 3-Day Any 3 days within 5 days after the start date
• 4-Day Any 4 days within 7 days after the start date
• 5-Day Any 5 days within 8 days after the start date
• 6-Day Any 6 days within 9 days after the start date
• 7-Day Any 7 days within 10 days after the start date
• 8-Day Any 8 days within 12 days after the start date
• 9-Day Any 9 days within 13 days after the start date
• 10-Day Any 10 days within 14 days after the start date

Packages are treated slightly differently, so the park ticket window doesn’t follow this exactly if you are booked as a room and ticket package.

How Much Can I Expect to Pay to Visit EPCOT for 1 Day?

1-Day Base Ticket

After reviewing the 1 day base ticket prices from November 2023 – October 2024, the cheapest time to go to EPCOT is the end of August through September during a weekday. These tickets are the cheapest at $119 per adult. The most expensive time to visit EPCOT is December, February, March, and May with ticket prices reaching $179 for the weekends.

1 Day Park Hopper

Park hopper prices for a 1-day ticket mean that after 2 pm, you can visit any other park on Walt Disney World property that has not reached capacity. The price ranges for these tickets for the same months are:

• Jan. 2024: $ 214-244
• Feb. 2024: $ 218-249
• March 2024: $ 239-252
• April 2024: $238-251

You can also visit EPCOT as one of your park days if you book a multi-day ticket. If you plan to go to Disney Parks for at least two days, this can help save you money when visiting EPCOT because the price is not based per park, but instead per season and type of ticket. At Disney, the more tickets you purchase the cheaper they become.

Discount EPCOT Tickets

Military

The Military/ Department of Defense usually offers some of the greatest discounts on tickets.

All active and retired military personnel, plus Department of Defense civilian employees are eligible for these rates. The cheap tickets also apply to all dependents in the group they are traveling with.

Tickets can be purchased through:

• The local military base in the tickets and services office.
• With a Military ID at the Shades of Green military-operated resort located at Walt Disney World.
• Certain branches of the government have access to the same discount Disney World tickets when purchasing through their human resources departments. Your success will vary.

AAA

Triple A typically offers discounts on its website for members. Members are able to save up to $100 off gate prices. You can purchase tickets through the website, calling, or in person.

Wholesale Resale Stores

Another way to save money is to go to Sam’s Club, Costco, or other wholesale resale stores that occasionally sell discounted Disney tickets on the floor. They don’t typically advertise when they are coming, so you just have to be in the right place at the right time.

You can, however, purchase discounted Disney gift cards to put towards the purchase of your Disney theme park tickets. This will only save you a few dollars for every $100 gift card purchase, but it can add up quickly if you are making a large ticket purchase.

Employment Offices

Check with your place of employment. Sometimes your human resources department will have some type of access to discounted theme park tickets, and you may be able to go through the human resources department to purchase your Disney tickets.

Disney World Annual Pass Discounts and Deals

Another great way to potentially save money is to become an annual passholder. There are different types of annual passes that have different restrictions and requirements for purchasers. However, an annual pass can be a great option if you want to visit EPCOT frequently without having to pay for a one-day ticket every single time you go.

How does an Annual Pass help me?

If you are able to purchase the cheapest annual pass as a Florida resident, you would only have to visit EPCOT 4 times a year with a 1-day ticket to cover the cost of the pass at the highest ticket prices. Or you could do two park hopper 1- day tickets and pay for this pass.

If you purchase the most expensive annual pass available to all guests, you would only need to visit EPCOT 8 times that year (on the highest price day) to pay for your pass. Or you could visit 6 times with a 1-day park hopper pass and completely pay for the Incredi-pass.

This math doesn’t even account for any additional theme parks you may consider visiting. In addition, there are great perks for annual passholders. Annual passholders get early previews for rides and merchandise, specialty merchandise, discounts for food, drinks, and entertainment, and complimentary parking. This could be a great way to save money if you plan on visiting the parks a lot in one year.

Final Verdict on Saving for your EPCOT Day

While there are quite a few options to save money for multi-park days, there is not a great option to save money for just 1 EPCOT day. Our recommendation is to book a multi-park day ticket if possible and use our preferred ticket partner Get Away Today to have the best time visiting EPCOT. There is so much to do and see, especially if you visit during a festival, you may want the full two-day experience.
