Surprise Character Appearing with Deadpool in Disney California Adventure

The newest Deadpool film, Deadpool & Wolverine, released July 26th in theaters and has already received a 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. We previously reported that Deadpool will be greeting guests in Disney California Adventure in honor of the film’s release.

This is the first time in recent memory we’ve seen an R rated character come to Disneyland and Deadpool is a favorite among many Marvel fans!

Today we got a surprise announcement that Deadpool will be joined by another fan favorite character making his debut for the first time as well!

This really makes the inclusion of the X-Men characters into the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) a reality especially seeing Wolverine in his classic comic book suit. Marvel fans are going to love this character experience.

R Rated Character Comes to Disneyland

Both of these characters are bound to be pretty popular especially as Deadpool’s debut marks the first time in recent memory we’ve seen an R rated character in the theme parks. But guests do not need to worry, his dialogue will meet the family friend nature of Disney and I’m sure the character will even poke a bit of fun at it.

Avengers Campus continues to win at the way it handles character interactions to celebrate film and Disney+ show releases. There is no strict timeline at Avengers Campus, which is the biggest limitation of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which leaves them free to bring any characters into the land. This is absolutely my favorite thing about Avengers Campus and it’s something I wish Disneyland would use to breathe some life into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

How Long Are Wolverine and Deadpool at Disneyland?

There is no official end date currently on how long Deadpool and Wolverine will be greeting guests at Disney California Adventure. New characters stick around for the duration of time that the film is in theaters and maybe even after depending on their popularity. I personally hope we see Deadpool and Wolverine linger as long as possible because this is bound to be a great character interaction.
