2025 Oogie Boogie Bash Tips
Heading into the party this year, we experienced long security lines for the trams from the parking lots to Downtown Disney. Make sure to arrive early if you want to avoid these long lines! It took almost an hour just to park when we arrived for the event. If you have admission to Disney California Adventure during the day, you can pick up your event wristband and event materials inside the park.

If you're attending this year's event, here are a few tips to keep in mind. Make sure you have a solid plan to prioritize seeing popular characters, as we saw that lines for the Sanderson Sisters and Syndrome in particular were quite long. The first parade of the night is always more heavily attended, so if you're willing to catch the second showing, you can take advantage of this block of time when crowds are thinned out to experience popular meet-and-greets or Villains Grove. Lastly, make sure to bring your own bag for candy! You'll be getting a lot during the event, and the bags Disney gives are not big enough to hold all of the potential candy you could collect.
There is a lot of fun Oogie Boogie Bash merchandise available for the event! If you want to avoid long lines, you'll find a lot of merchandise available at the cart near the Little Mermaid ride. This had far shorter lines than Elias and Company on Buena Vista Street.
There are also a few special foods available exclusively at the event, including Loaded Buffalo Chicken Fries at Flo’s V8 Cafe, Carolina Loaded Tenders at Flo’s V8 Cafe, Chili-Cheese Fries at Award Wieners, and Ube Hot Chocolate with Vanilla Vodka at Cozy Cone Motel. We recommend enjoying these as a snack rather than a meal and eating your main meal during mix-in hours before the event begins to avoid burning valuable party time.
You'll also find a new Nightmare Before Christmas sipper at the parties! Here is a look at the Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Mayor Sipper, which switches expressions. Check out all the new Disneyland Halloween popcorn buckets and novelties here.
If you're a Magic Key holder, make sure you don't miss the exclusive offerings during the event, including a t-shirt and pin, as well as a Magic Key destination under Silly Symphony Swings with a photo opportunity, commemorative 3-button set featuring Lock, Shock and Barrel from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, and a candy treat.
2025 Oogie Boogie Bash Changes to Know
There are a few things that have switched around for this year's Oogie Boogie Bash parties, including new locations for characters, a change to the trick-or-treat offerings, and a brand new look for a popular character in the parade.
- Judge Doom's Treat Trail location is now in Hollywood Land near Studio Catering Co. and Hollywood Lounge, where the Sanderson Sisters used to be.
2. The Sanderson Sisters have been moved to the area in front of the Little Mermaid ride overlooking Paradise Bay, where Kingdom Hearts Mickey, Donald, and Goofy used to be. This meet-and-greet is always very popular, and the line was extremely long on the first night of the event.
3. Kingdom Hearts Mickey, Goofy, and Donald have been moved to a tucked-away area near Avengers Campus, across from Grizzly River Waterfall.
4. Maleficent is back as a Treat Trail villain this year! She last appeared at the Oogie Boogie Bash parties in 2022. You can find her at Mountain Road in Grizzly Peak (behind the queue for Grizzly River Run).
5. A new character this year is Syndrome from The Incredibles, who replaced Sid at Pixar Pier. You'll find him near the Pixar Pier Band Shell.
6. There is no fruit being given out for the treat trails this year. You'll still find all of the normal options like candy, graham crackers, fig bars, etc., but there is no fruit this year like the grapes, apple slices, and carrots they typically give.
7. Meg from Hercules now has her own photo spot where Bruno used to be near Grizzly River Run!
8. Disney changed the character costume for Jack Skellington in the Frightfully Fun Parade! His head is now much closer in appearance to what it looks like in the film. Disney also made this change on the other coast for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom. You can see the full video on our Instagram @MickeyVisit.
