Disney starts celebrating Easter soon with the Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Search taking place from March 3 to April 6. This Easter egg hunt invites guests to search for character-themed eggs across Disneyland Resort.

To participate, guests need to purchase a map and stickers for $11.99 plus tax, based on which park they want to search for eggs in. Each park has a different map, and once guests find all the eggs, they can redeem the map for a prize.

Welcome sign for Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival

The popular Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival starts on March 6 and runs through April 27. This festival features brand new food offerings inspired by the California landscape, live entertainment, and exclusive merchandise.

It also brings back a fan-favorite ride for a limited time: Soarin’ Over California, the original version of the ride. You can take a look at the menu guide here and our reviews of the new foods here.

3. Spring Break Season Kicks Off

Spring Break season kicks off at Disneyland around mid-March and continues through mid-April. You can use our Disneyland crowd calendar to track the crowd levels this month.

Spring break crowds bring some of the highest wait times of the year, with some of the worst days to visit in the latter half of March. However, these crowd levels are still not as bad as the holiday season, which last year proved to rank the worst amongst the data we analyzed.

4. Nightly Fireworks Return to Disneyland

Nightly fireworks return to Disneyland this month as a response to the spring break season.

Currently, Disneyland’s entertainment schedule shows the fireworks returning nightly starting on March 20th, which is also a good indication of when Disneyland feels the heaviest spring break crowds will materialize. Before March 20, fireworks only take place on weekends with nightly projections shown each night.

5. Oga’s Cantina Reopens

Oga’s Cantina will reopen on March 14 after its extended refurbishment since January 20.

As we discussed in our article announcing the Oga’s Cantina closure, Oga’s Cantina may get a menu refresh, as Disney teased that in the context of the timeline shifts, they are “working really closely to update and align some of those offerings as well.”

It would stand to reason that some new offerings may be coming in relation to the broader changes happening at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

6. St. Patrick’s Day at Disneyland

St. Patrick’s Day takes place on March 17, and usually, Disneyland will release a limited-time menu of desserts and other select offerings.

Last year, the offerings were mainly focused on treats at Red Rose Taverne, the Disneyland Resort Hotels, and Salt & Straw in Downtown Disney.

7. Bluey’s Best Day Ever!

A brand new Bluey-themed show will debut on March 22 at the Fantasyland Theatre. Bluey’s Best Day Ever! will feature Bluey, Bingo, and a group of musicians and actors. Together, they will perform the songs and play the games from the television show, bringing it to life for all of those in attendance.

In addition to this new show, guests can also explore the Gnome Village and Fairy Garden, as well as meet characters like the Grannies, Unicorse, and Chattermax. There will also be select Bluey-themed foods available at the nearby Troubadour Tavern. This is one of the highlights of Disneyland in March at Disneyland Park, as many guests are excited to see more entertainment return to the park.

8. Savannah Bananas Day Returns

The Savannah Bananas will be returning for their second Disneyland celebration on March 26. The team itself will be at Disneyland Park, where the Savannah Bananas Cavalcade will parade down Main Street, U.S.A.

At the end of the procession, the players will perform one of their dances in front of the castle. The celebration also extends to Disney California Adventure this year with what Disney promises is an “unmissable show” at this park.
