Easily the most popular bar in Walt Disney World has now extended hours into the morning. This bar is notoriously difficult to get into with standby lines forming before opening time.

Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto Extends Hours
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is a themed tiki lounge located at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and is known for its immersive storytelling, interactive effects in the bar, and interactions following certain drink orders.

The menu itself features a mix of specialty cocktails, nonalcoholic beverages with many served in collectible souvenir mugs. Guests under 21 years old are not allowed after 8PM and the bar transforms into an adult-only experience.
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto will now be open starting at 11 AM daily. The previous hours were 3PM to midnight so this opens up Trader Sam’s for the morning and early afternoon. These updated hours also apply to the Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace outdoor seating area.
This is great news so more guests can experience this popular themed lounge in Disney World. It was not uncommon to see guests lining up as early as an hour or more before opening just to secure their spot instead. We recently noticed a line forming for Trader Sam’s around 1PM during the busy holiday season when the bar was scheduled to open at 3PM. Trader Sam’s doesn’t take reservations and only operates a standby waitlist.

The limited capacity and popularity of Trader Sam’s makes it hard to experience for everyone.
