Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar Holiday Menu
We also got the first look at the new holiday menu items!
The menu this year features returning favorites and plenty of new items.
The Hot Cocoa Flight is served on a platter that says “You Have Chosen Wisely,” referencing Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The flight includes: Sugar Cookie with RumChata Cream Liqueur and Stoli Vanilla Vodka, Peppermint Mocha with Bola Crème de Menthe Withe Liqeur, and White Hot Cocoa with hazelnut, raspberry, Frangelico, and Chambord Liqueurs. This truly feels like the best value for your money here, as you get so many different types of drinks and flavors.
The bright green drink is called the Tannenbaum with Malibu Coconut Rum, Midori Melon Liqueur, DOLE Pineapple Juice, and cream of coconut, garnished with a red sugared rim, whipped cream. This drink reminded us of the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Rum drink from Trader Sam’s, definitely a hit.
Two new drinks this year include the Gingerbread Martini and the Holiday Spritz. The Gingerbread Martini includes Stoli Vanilla Vodka, Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur, RumChata Cream Liqueur, gingerbread syrup, and half and half garnished with whipped cream, graham cracker crumbs, and a chocolate piece. This was a sweet drink, but we enjoyed it.
The Holiday Spritz includes Aperol Liqueur, cranberry juice, smoked cranberry syrup, and Prosecco garnished with a rosemary sprig.
This year also features Jock’s Famous Pigs in the Blanket with Debreziner sausage, puff pastry, and cranberry mustard. This isn’t our favorite of the items, just because of the saltiness of the flavor.
New to the food lineup are the Boughs of Holly Deviled Eggs with sweet potato filling, fried chicken, herbed butter, cranberry, and parsley. The fried chicken was a nice surprise and really makes the dish pop.
The Turkey Egg Rolls are new this year and feature turkey with sweet-and-sour cranberry dipping sauce. The saltiness of the ground turkey mixed with the sweetness of the cranberry dipping sauce really mixes well!
The Holiday Mine Car Meatballs returned this year. This dish features Maple-bourbon meatballs, Granny Smith apple and cranberry chutney, sweet potato hay, and thyme. The Maple-bourbon is a great flavor to mix with the Granny Smith apple. These were our second-favorite dish of the night!
Another new item is A Wreath of Wellington, which is strip steak, mushroom duxelles, Gruyère, puff pastry, herbed parmesan, and horseradish-mustard aïoli. The presentation here is great. The Wreath of Wellington was our favorite that we tried. The texture of this food item was perfect. The crunchiness of the puff pastry with the softness on the inside, mixed in with the strip steak, was perfect. Lots of flavor and different textures.
For dessert, you can also enjoy the new Cookies with Eggnog, which is eggnog with Siesta Key Spiced Rum served with a sugar cookie, snickerdoodle swirl cookie, and chocolate-peppermint cookie.
