In our update, Lamplight Lounge holds its #1 spot as our top Mickey Visit restaurant at the Disneyland Resort. There have been some changes to the menu of this location lately, including a significant reduction in its menu and the move to make the famous Lobster Nachos exclusive to its upstairs Boardwalk Dining section. When evaluating our current rankings, we did consider moving another restaurant to the top spot due to these changes, but we still think the quality of food and great atmosphere of Lamplight Lounge make this location stand out above all of the rest. The indoor theming contains a treasure trove of Pixar references and memorabilia, and the outdoor patio and BoardWalk Dining offer incredible waterfront views of Paradise Bay and Pixar Pier. You'll enjoy the atmosphere here no matter where you're seated!
In our update, we also shifted around some of the restaurants in our top 10 ranking, moving up Cafe Orleans, Tiana's Palace, Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, and Din Tai Fung.
We felt that Cafe Orleans in New Orleans Square deserved a higher spot on this list due to its great menu of options, the iconic status of some of its menu items—the Monte Cristo Sandwich and Mint Julep both make our list of the best individual Disneyland foods at the resort—and the amazing ambiance of the outdoor patio area overlooking the Rivers of America. Our recent review of the restaurant gives a good look at the current menu here and why it's a favorite of ours.

We also moved Tiana's Palace in New Orleans Square to a higher spot in our ranking. We have frequented this quick-service restaurant since it first opened a couple of years ago due to its affordability, vegetarian options, and overall atmosphere. The 7 Greens Gumbo here remains one of the most unique and flavorful options for vegetarians at the park, and the baked mac and cheese is also a standout.
We also moved Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe significantly up in our ranking. This restaurant continues to be one of our go-to options on almost every trip. The affordability and high quality of the food make it a standout option, and the constantly rotating seasonal offerings keep the menu fresh and exciting. This is a must-do location if we're visiting during any of the seasonal celebrations, and it's always a challenge to limit how much we order here with so many great options. The amazing menu at this restaurant easily beats out the offerings of many table-service restaurants at the resort, with more affordable and varied options.
Din Tai Fung in Downtown Disney also moved up into our top 10 ranking. This is easily our go-to recommendation, especially for adults, if you want to leave the parks to enjoy a meal in Downtown Disney. The upscale atmosphere, expansive menu, and incredible quality of food make this a standout option. This restaurant is really the whole package!
We also added some restaurants to our top list, including Storytellers Cafe and Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree. We love the food offerings at Storytellers Cafe at Disney's Grand Californian, which has the highest-quality food of any character dining location, as well as the great lineup of classic characters and Craftsman-inspired dining room. The recent addition of a character dining dinner and constantly rotating seasonal themes gives even more reason to keep coming back to this restaurant. You can see our recent review of breakfast at the restaurant for a detailed look at the buffet offerings and characters.
We have also enjoyed the recently revamped menu at Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree in Bayou Country. The reimagining of this location was a major upgrade to the previous offering, and we have really enjoyed all of the new menu items here. This is a quick, easy option that provides a substantial amount of food for a pretty reasonable price. The rotating seasonal offerings here also keep things interesting, and it's hard to beat the restaurant's charming rustic architecture and positioning along the Rivers of America.
We also added Parkside Market in Downtown Disney as an honorable mention to our list. This recently opened food hall houses four dining concepts, including Sip and Sonder, GG's Chicken Shop, Seoul Sister, and Vista, an al fresco rooftop bar with views of Downtown Disney.
We also moved around a few other restaurants in our ranking. One of these shifts includes our movement of Oga's Cantina further down on the list, out of our top 10 ranking. The recent removal of dining reservations for this location indicates that demand has been low enough to justify making it walk-up only. Like some of the other highly themed experiences in Galaxy's Edge, such as building your own lightsaber at Savi's Workshop and building a droid at Droid Depot, this can sometimes be a one-and-done experience for guests, and its novelty has worn off a bit since its opening.
Another reason why we moved this down was that while the theming here is fun, the format leaves a little bit to be desired, with mostly standing room and more than one party put together in the same table or counter. This can be an uncomfortable situation, especially for kids and groups who are unpleasantly surprised to be seated with strangers. That being said, we still think this restaurant deserves a spot on our list as a great place for a mid-day break. It's hard to compete with the immersive atmosphere and creative drinks at this family-friendly bar.
