Disney Making Change to “it’s a small world” at Disneyland and Now Also at Disney World

A few months ago, Disney revealed that there would be a change coming to the classic “it's a small world” ride as part of Disneyland's 70th anniversary celebration. Now, we have news that this change will be implemented not only at Disneyland but at Disney World's version of the ride as well!

New “it's a small world” Addition Coming

Disney previously announced that a new addition would be coming to “it's a small world,” which is a new third and final verse for the song that was written by the late Disney Legend Richard Sherman as his final Disney contribution. Disney Legends Richard Sherman and Robert Sherman wrote the iconic “It's A Small World” song for the original ride.

Now, it has been revealed that starting on Disneyland's anniversary date of July 17, this last verse of the song will debut in the finale scene of the ride at both Disneyland and Disney World. When this news was initially announced, we were not sure if it was coming to both resorts, but now this has been confirmed.

We are really pleased about this new addition, which will be a beautiful tribute to the extraordinary legacy of the Sherman Brothers. Every time I read and hear this verse, my thought is always how it's so incredible that a small 33-word verse can pack as massive an emotional punch as this does. It's really a testament to the Sherman Brothers' extraordinary talent and writing.
