Disney has just revealed the opening date, new merchandise, and a look at the finale float coming soon to Magic Kingdom for the highly anticipated Disney Starlight parade.
This is one of the most highly anticipated summer events at Walt Disney World and we just got the first look at the new finale float inspired by the iconic Main Street Electrical Parade.

Disney World Starlight Parade Inspired by Iconic Parade
The “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” parade debuts July 20, 2025, at Magic Kingdom and we got the first look at the finale float. The float is inspired by the iconic Main Street Electrical Parade train and includes a procession of special Disney moments.

Here’s a closer look at the float released from Disney Parks Blog.
If you look closely you can see Goofy, Pluto, Donald, and Daisy Duck at the beginning of the train. Followed by Snow White and Dopey in a mine car, Aladdin and Jasmine on a magic carpet ride, and Rapunzel and Flynn Rider on a lantern boat with Mickey and Minnie Mouse bringing up the rear in another train car.
For reference, here’s a look at the traditional train from the Main Street Electrical Parade from its initial run at Disneyland in 1972.
And here’s a look at the train from its last run at Disneyland in 2022. The Main Street Electrical Parade is arguably one of the most iconic parades in DIsney history and is nostalgic for people of all ages. I love that they incorporated this float into the Disney Starlight parade.

The Disney Starlight Parade’s opening joins another full lineup of summer entertainment that has already kicked off like Cool Kid Summer, the updated Little Mermaid show, and the new Disney Villains show at Hollywood Studios.
