20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Bar Offers Immersive Lounge Experience

If there is one thing that Disney Cruise Line does best is its themed and immersive lounges! 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is getting the love it deserves on Disney's newest cruise ship, the Disney Treasure.

This new lounge is just one of three new lounges coming to the Disney Treasure with the new Haunted Mansion Parlor and Jungle Cruise themed bar sure to be hit favorites as well.

We got the first look at Periscope Pub, the first ever Disney Cruise Line's venue inspired by Walt Disney’s 1954 film “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” during our preview of the Disney Treasure!

We got an exclusive first look at the Disney Treasure before its inaugural sailing this December and were able to get an up close view of Periscope Pub which is a themed lounge dedicated to “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.”

The Disney Treasure will embark on its maiden voyage, a 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruise taking place December 21-28, 2024, sailing to Tortola, British Virgin Islands, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Disney Castaway Cay.

Periscope Pub will become the Disney Cruise Line's first venue inspired by Walt Disney’s 1954 film, “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. This film was also a celebrated Disney Parks attraction that was open at Walt Disney World from 1971 to 1994.

The design of this lounge will feature submarine-style interiors along with 19th-century steampunk influences with metal and industrial touches.

The lounge also features a window along the ceiling which will make guests feel like Captain Nemo on the Nautilus. Guests might just see a squid go past this window if you look up!

The menu will focus on craft brews and light snacks which is fitting with the atmosphere of the lounge.

Here is a look at some of the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea-inspired decor you'll find in the Periscope Pub! The space contains various artifacts, drawings, and books used by Captain Nemo and his crew during their explorations. The Periscope Pub squid model in the case pictured above is based on the one at Disneyland Paris. The TVs in the pub will be used for sports and games.
