Amongst the many park announcements made at the D23 Expo on Sunday, September 11, fans were excited to hear that a beloved character was coming back to the Walt Disney World Resort.
Figment the Dragon
Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro told the audience that Figment will start doing meet and greets with guests at EPCOT in 2023.
Figment is a small purple dragon that is the mascot of the “Imagination” pavilion at EPCOT. He made his first appearance at the theme park in 1983.
More details surrounding his meet and greet will be released at a later date, but the fans sure are happy that he is returning.

This wasn't the only news that came out today for EPCOT. A new attraction featuring Moana is set to open in the World Nature neighborhood.
