Walt Disney World is home to dozens of incredible rides, shows, and attractions throughout its four theme parks, so it’s easy to understand why guests choose to prioritize some over others during their vacations. However, there are some rides that seem to be skipped more than others because they’re not thrill rides, they’re “too boring/slow/time-consuming,” or for some other reason.
We’re always sad to see visitors overlook these underrated rides because they’re all delightfully unique, interesting, and enjoyable in their own way. Read on to learn why you should save time and space in your trip to experience these wonderful attractions. Mickey Visit brings you the latest Disney news and planning resources, including a Disney guest exiting Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in another ride incident, and Disney’s best resort food court you’re probably overlooking.

Living with the Land

If you’re not super invested in all the unique ways fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices, and even seafood are being harvested by Epcot’s agricultural team, Living with the Land also allows you to take a peek behind the scenes at how they grow the food served in several of the park’s restaurants. Plus, it’s a great attraction for spotting Hidden Mickeys, as there are several of them strategically placed throughout the course of the ride.

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros

Another great Epcot boat ride that is often overlooked is the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros. This attraction is found at the Mexico Pavilion in World Showcase and takes riders on a hunt for Donald Duck alongside Panchito and Jose Carioca, the other two birds that make up The Three Caballeros.
The Gran Fiesta Tour can often be missed as people are winding their way through the countries of World Showcase, as it is located inside Mexico’s massive pyramid, past the merchandise carts and restaurant at the very back of the building. However, guests of any age will enjoy this laid-back, fun attraction, with its brightly colored atmosphere and easy-to-follow storyline.
Whether you’re starting or ending your trek around World Showcase at the Mexico Pavilion, we recommend taking a few minutes to help the Three Caballeros search for Donald Duck and learn more about the vibrant Mexican culture.
Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room
A classic Magic Kingdom attraction that deserves to receive much more attention than it gets is Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. This relatively short, lively, and colorful show can be found right in the heart of Adventureland next to Aloha Isle (AKA, the Dole Whip stand) and offers fun entertainment for the whole family inside an air-conditioned tiki hut.
When the Enchanted Tiki Room comes alive, you won’t know where to look! Between the singing flowers, tiki gods, and the variety of different animatronic birds themselves, the whole room turns into a party for everyone to enjoy. If you need a break from walking the long stretch through the lands of Magic Kingdom, it’s a perfect place to stop, sit for a while, and listen to some great Polynesian music.
Many guests don’t know that if you arrive at the attraction shortly after the previous show has started, you can also enjoy the preshow that takes place in the line outside while you’re waiting. It’s a funny little experience that is not to be missed!
Country Bear Musical Jamboree

There are a few reasons why many guests used to overlook Country Bear Musical Jamboree, located in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom. Some thought that the music, which originally included several somewhat cheeky, more adult-themed jokes, was not appropriate for the whole family, while others simply didn’t recognize the songs and thus didn’t think their loved ones would be interested in sitting through it.
But Country Bear Musical Jamboree had a makeover within the last couple of years, and now the show is one that shouldn’t be missed when visiting Magic Kingdom. The animatronic bear characters that original audiences came to know and love are still present, and they’re performing covers of classic Disney movie songs rather than the old saloon-style music that used to be played.
Combine the new-and-improved show with the fact that the Country Bear Musical Jamboree theater is a great place to duck into for some refreshing A/C during your stroll through Frontierland, and it’s definitely an attraction that shouldn’t be missed!
Star Tours – The Adventures Continue

Star Tours – The Adventures Continue is absolutely underrated when it comes to Star Wars-themed attractions within Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Long before Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge was ever built, Star Tours was the only opportunity to experience a ride in a galaxy far, far away in any of the Walt Disney World parks. Now, however, many walk right past it in pursuit of the more technologically advanced Star Wars rides.
But Star Tours should not be discounted simply because it’s a little old-fashioned and outdated in comparison. It’s a classic attraction that offers a healthy dose of nostalgia to its riders, putting you into a variety of different scenarios and referencing characters from the original trilogy, the prequels, and the more recent films.
Plus, it often has a much shorter wait time than the newer attractions in Galaxy’s Edge, which can be a must for some visitors. If you just want a taste of the action and don’t want to hike to the back of Disney’s Hollywood Studios to get it, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue is a great alternative.
Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams

This ride is often overlooked because it’s tucked into the back of the land, and many often walk right past it toward Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which has a connecting pathway nearby. But it’s one that we think everyone should try out (unless you’re someone who gets motion sick easily…if that’s the case, you may want to skip this one).
One thing to keep in mind is that Alien Swirling Saucers is located entirely outdoors, so waiting in the line can prove difficult on particularly hot or rainy days. But if you’re able to swing it, we definitely recommend taking it for a spin!
Wildlife Express Train

While the Wildlife Express Train is technically mainly a means of transportation to get you to and from Conservation Station, that whole section is often skipped over in favor of the more intense thrill rides Disney’s Animal Kingdom has to offer. We believe that more visitors should take the time to travel out to Conservation Station on the train because that area provides so much interesting education and entertainment.
On the Wildlife Express Train, you get to see some really cool parts of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s backstage, including the buildings where many of the animals in the Kilimanjaro Safari live. And once you reach Conservation Station, there’s an array of activities available to explore, ranging from up-close interactions with animals and their caretakers to an exciting party with the popular TV show character Bluey.
We really encourage visitors to take some time out of their park day to ride on the Wildlife Express Train and visit Conservation Station. You’ll learn a lot of neat information, and you’ll have a lot of fun, too!
Kali River Rapids

One of the best arguments we can give for taking a spin on Kali River Rapids is that it can easily cool you down on a hot day! Disney’s Animal Kingdom is known for being extra humid throughout the year thanks to all the extra plant life and foliage, and there’s no better way to chill out than getting soaked head to toe on a water ride.
It also typically has a shorter wait than most of the other rides in the park, so if you don’t want to wait in line for too long, it’s a great choice. Just be prepared to get wet, and if you don’t want to spend the rest of the day with slightly damp clothes, be sure to pack a poncho!
No matter how you choose to spend your day at the Walt Disney World theme parks, we hope you’ll consider giving some of these attractions a try. Although they tend to be overlooked by most visitors, we believe they’re completely underrated, and each offers unique experiences that are not to be missed!
