More Toy Story Changes at Disney Theme Parks
The family-friendly Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters ride is currently closed for refurbishment at Disneyland. Disney has not announced a reopening date, but it’s hard to imagine the ride still closed by the time Toy Story 5 is released in movie theaters on June 19. Keep track of all Disneyland refurbishments here.
On the East Coast, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom reopened from an eight-month refurbishment in April with many of the effects Disneyland’s version of the ride already has, including handheld blasters.
The Diamond Horseshoe, a table-service restaurant at Magic Kingdom, has paused its dining for the summer. In its place, Jessie’s Roundup: A Rip-Roarin’ Revue!, a new entertainment offering, will operate from May 26 through September 8 as part of Cool KIDS’ SUMMER. The Diamond Horseshoe’s menu continues to be served next door at Liberty Tree Tavern, like always.
