Disney World Announces 4 New Star Wars Popcorn Buckets and Novelties

Disney is getting ready to celebrate Star Wars Day, May the 4th! Disney Store will drop tons of new Star Wars merchandise for the occasion. Disneyland will launch new novelties and host a Star Wars after-hours event. Walt Disney World just revealed its East Coast festivities for the special day. There are also new Star Wars popcorn buckets coming to theaters.

Disney World announced four new Star Wars popcorn buckets and novelty items debuting for May the 4th 2026. This is exciting news, as Disney World doesn’t usually have as extensive of novelty collections as Disneyland does. 1. Salvaged Protocol Droid Popcorn Bucket

C-3PO’s head, as he appeared in The Empire Strikes Back, is the inspiration for a popcorn bucket coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios starting May 4, 2026. His eyes light up!

The Salvaged Protocol Droid popcorn bucket will be available at:

  • Hollywood Hills Amphitheater Refreshments, inside the Fantasmic! venue
  • Ice Cold Hydraulics, on Grand Avenue near the tunnel to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
  • Popcorn Cart near Center Stage, in front of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

For mobile order, search in the My Disney Experience app for “Disney’s Hollywood Studios Souvenir Release Store,” and Disney will tell you where to pick up the popcorn bucket.

2. Jabba’s Sail Barge Popcorn Bucket

A popcorn bucket in the shape of Khetanna, Jabba the Hutt’s barge from Return of the Jedi, is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. A hatch opens to reveal Jabba, C-3PO, R2-D2, and Salacious B. Crumb!

On May 4 and 5, 2026, guests can only purchase the Jabba Sail Barge popcorn bucket via mobile order. Search in the My Disney Experience app for “Disney’s Hollywood Studios Souvenir Release Store,” and Disney will tell you where to pick up the popcorn bucket.

Starting May 6, 2026, the Jabba Sail Barge popcorn bucket will be available at Kat Saka’s Kettle in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

There will be a limit of two buckets per person, per transaction.

3. Bantha Sipper

A sipper in the shape of a Bantha, the animal ridden by Tusken Raiders on Tatooine, is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios starting May 4, 2026.

The Bantha sipper will be available at:

  • ABC Commissary
  • Backlot Express
  • Fairfax Fare on Sunset Boulevard
  • Hollywood Hills Amphitheatre Refreshments, inside the Fantasmic! venue
  • Milk Stand in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
  • Outdoor food carts near the park entrance

There will be a limit of two sippers per person, per transaction.

4. DJ-R3X Souvenir Mug

The new DJ-R3X souvenir mug is coming to Oga’s Cantina at Disney’s Hollywood Studios starting May 4, 2026. DJ-R3X is the resident tune-spinner in Oga’s, and was formerly a pilot droid for Star Tours.

Guests can purchase the mug by itself or served with the Kamino Cooler specialty drink. The Kamino Cooler is made of Tito’s vodka, Bols Blue Curaçao liqueur, passion fruit syrup, DOLE pineapple juice, and lime juice.

There will be a limit of two mugs per person, per transaction.
