There is so much to watch on Disney Plus. Top 50 Movies and Shows to Watch on Disney Plus
1. The Mandalorian
The Mandalorian is number one on our list not just because of Baby Yoda (The Child) but because it's one of the best things Star Wars has done in a long time. The series features well-known directors from the Iron Man, Star wars Rebels, and Clone Wars films/tv shows. The series plot follows a Mandalorian (the race Boba Fett belonged to) as he goes to the outer rim of the Galaxy after the fall of the Empire but before the rise of the First Order.
2. Disney Imagineering Docuseries
Walt Disney Imagineering is the group responsible for theme park development of all the Disney resorts around the world and was originally formed in the 1950's. If you're feeling like you could use some magic in your home, watching the history of the Disney Parks through the eyes of the Imagineers you will love this series.
3. Pixar Shorts
This live-action series stars everyone's new favorite spork- the new character from the Toy Story 4 movie. In this series he asks real life questions about the world and take guests on an a Disney style educational journey.
Other Pixar themed shorts we love include Lamp Life which is an animated series about Little Bo Peep's life in between Toy Story 3 and 4. Sparkshorts is another Pixar series and includes a collection of Pixar shorts.
4. Star Wars Episodes I to VIII
Get ready for your Star Wars binge Disney+ has an enormous amount of content to stream including all our classic favorites. I suggest watching Episodes I to VIII in chronological order to begin! For reference, those include:
- Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
- Star Wars: Attack of the Clones
- Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
- Star Wars: A New Hope
- Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
- Star Wars: Return of the Jedi

5. Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Now that Season 7 of the Clone Wars has debuted on Disney+ this is a great time to binge the earlier season and then watch the new one.
6. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is a must see original story- arguably one of the best things Disney has done with the Star Wars universe. You don't need to have much Star Wars knowledge to watch this one either!
7. Mickey Mouse Shorts (Classic and New)
You can watch the entire catalog of everyone's favorite mouse from the original Steamboat Willie to Fun and Fancy Free to the newest Mickey shorts! These are great options to watch on Disney Plus.
8. The Toy Story Films
Some of my favorite Pixar films are the Toy Story ones and now that Disney Plus has the most recent Toy Story featuring everyone's favorite spork you can have a great movie day! Stream all of the Toy Story movies on Disney Plus.
9. Monsters, Inc.
This classic Pixar film always makes me think of the Monsters, Inc. ride in Disneyland and for that reason alone it gives me all the happy feelings. Monsters University is also on Disney+ so you can immediately watch that after this one!
10. A Bug's Life
I bet it's been awhile since you've watched A Bug's Life! Add this one to your movie day list from Disney Plus.
11. Finding Nemo
This film is just pure Pixar and I love every minute of it. Don't forget to watch the sequel Finding Dory when you're done!
12. The Incredibles
I'd be remiss to not include this film when it includes one of my favorite Pixar characters: Edna! Disney+ also has the most recent film which rocked all our socks off.
13. All the Cars Films
My son was obsessed with these films when they first came out and we spent years cultivating our extensive Cars collection. Because of that they always fill me with nostalgia for those happy toddler days!
14. Ratatouille
One of the cutest Pixar movies ever made in my humble opinion!
15. WALL-E
I'm always surprised at how many people haven't seen WALLE-E and this is the perfect time to watch it!
16. Brave
Everything about this movie is whimsical and the animation is stunning.
17. Inside Out
This film gets me every time! Once again Pixar has nailed the human experience.
18. The Good Dinosaur
I love the beautiful animation in this film.
19. UP
If I had to pick a favorite Pixar film, UP would be a top contender!
20. Coco
This movie does a great job of capturing the essence of family.
21. Frozen and Frozen II
You can now watch Frozen II on Disney+ which was a great gift from Disney by moving this popular film to the streaming service early.
22. Beauty and The Beast (Original and Remake)
I love how we have access to both the original and the remake on Disney+!
23. Aladdin (Originals and Remake)
I think the Aladdin remake was one of the best Disney's done and you can watch both the original and the new remake on Disney+!
24. Lion King (Originals and Remake)
Disney did a stunning job with the Lion King remake and you can watch them all on Disney+
25. Cinderella
This is a great time to dive into the classics and Cinderella is one of the best.
26. Sleeping Beauty
And of course, this classic has one of the best Disney villains of all time!
27. Sword in the Stone
This is another film I'm always surprised that many people haven't seen- now is a great time to watch it!
28. Moana
This film is easily one of my favorites with the newest Disney animations coming out.
29. Princess and the Frog
I absolutely adore this film and you should too!
30. Mulan
Since we have to wait a bit longer for the new remake this is a great chance to revisit the classic.
31. Hunchback of Notre Dame
This underrated classic deserves some attention which is why I made sure it was on the list!
32. Lady and the Tramp (Original and Remake)
Watch these two back to back to get your puppy fix!
33. The Aristocats
Just by typing this sentence I already have the song stuck in my head….
34. Peter Pan
This is another Disney movie that always makes me think of Disneyland and I love it.
35. 101 Dalmatians (Originals and Remake)
When I was a kid my goal was to have 101 stuffed dogs and my local Disney store was happy to oblige this goal as I filled my room with stuffed animals from this film.
36. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
The film that helped start it all…!
37. The Little Mermaid
This is hands down my favorite Disney princess film. It has the best music and the best villain!
38. Captain Marvel
Captain Marvel was a huge hit when it came to theaters and if you didn't get a chance to see it, now's the time!
39. Iron Man
A classic Marvel movie featuring one of our favorite heroes is a must do when catching up on movies you haven't seen in awhile.
40. Guardians of the Galaxy
The Guardians of the Galaxy movies make me laugh the most out of all the Marvel movies and for that reason they're my favorites.
41. Black Panther
There's a reason this movie was an instant success. It's an amazing origin story worth watching!
42. Ant-Man
Another movie that makes me laugh out of the Marvel universe. It's also a great one to watch to get stoked for the new Avengers Campus coming to Disneyland!
43. Spider Man: Far From Home
I love Tom Holland as Spider Man and the films he's done for Marvel are a great combination of humor and heroic lessons.
There is so much more to pick from when it comes to Marvel that I suggest just consuming the entire Marvel catalog available on Disney+!
44. Marvel's Hero Project
This a perfect Disney+ original to raise your spirits! The series follows the young heroes who are making remarkable and positive change across communities by dedicating their lives in selfless acts of bravery and kindness.
45. Fantasia
It's a great time to catch up on your Mickey classics and there's none better to do that with than Fantasia!
46. Waking Sleeping Beauty
Itching for some Disney history? Waking Sleeping is a fantastic documentary on the Disney Animation renaissance that reveals the story of how Disney broke out of their mid-1980s box office slump to go on and create classic films like Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, and more. We just watched the documentary last night and loved it.
47. High School Musical (Originals and New Series)
You can now stream the new Disney+ original High School Musical series along with the originals!
48. The World According to Jeff Goldblum
This show is a lovely mix of human interest stories, education, and humor.
49. One Day at Disney
A great way to get you Disney Parks fix as this docuseries takes you through a type day of those that make the magic happen.
50. Diary of a Future President
This Disney+ original is great for parents to watch with their kids as the humor easily hits both audiences.
