Walt Disney World Releases BIG Summer 2025 Discount

Walt Disney World has released more 2025 discounts to accompany the already released offers which includes the return of free dining with select vacation packages.

Now we have yet another discount offer released for travel this summer extending into the beginning of the Halloween season at Walt Disney World. Now we have a full slate of discounts for the first half of 2025 which makes planning your Walt Disney World trip even easier. I always recommend guests plan their trips around these discount offers in order to make a Disney trip far more affordable.

Let's breakdown all the details of this newest 2025 Walt Disney World hotel discount and my thoughts on how this savings stacks up against the popular free dining offer.

Walt Disney World 2025 Summer Discount

The Walt Disney World 2025 summer discount offers savings of up to 30% on rooms if you stay 5 consecutive nights or longer for stays from May 1 to September 30, 2025 and up to 25% for stays of 1 to 4 nights. Like with most Walt Disney World discount offers, the more expensive the hotel, the larger the savings.

This discount offer covers all of summer with the start date kicking off on May 1, 2025 and even goes into the Halloween season at Walt Disney World since it extends into September. It's not unusual to see larger discounts in the month of August and September though as this is traditionally a low crowd level time of year according to our Walt Disney World crowd calendar. Disney will release better discounts during these predictably slower times of the year to draw guests to the parks and help balance out the lower demand.

Interestingly, Disney's All-Star Sports is included in the list of moderate hotels and deluxe villas which means Disney doesn't anticipate high demand for this value level resort. This is actually already the cheapest value resort at Walt Disney World so if you are truly looking for the cheapest possible hotel room to book with this offer, this would be my top recommendation! I personally love the value hotels and we are always pleasantly surprised at how nice they are for the cost.

Is This Disney World Discount Better Than Free Dining?

The biggest downside of the free Walt Disney World dining offer is that the dates are far more limited. The free dining offer is valid starting May 27, 2025 through June 26, 2025 and July 7, 2025 through Aug. 6, 2025. The discount offer for Walt Disney World hotels runs from May 1 through September 30, 2025.

When we talk about free dining offers at Walt Disney World, the biggest consideration is always whether you plan on eating all your meals in the parks or resorts. I recommend pricing out your trip for each discount and comparing the savings. Aside from that math calculation, often the easiest way to determine what savings is best is to consider the hotel type you want.

If you plan on staying in a deluxe hotel, you can save up to 30% with the discount offer on hotel rooms which will likely put you out ahead in the end. If you plan on a value resort, the savings with the hotel discount offer will be less so you might be better off utilizing the free dining plan instead.
