Universal Studios Hollywood Grad Bash 2025 – Dates, Pricing, Tips on Avoiding Crowds

Just like Disneyland celebrates graduating seniors, Universal Studios Hollywood also celebrates with a graduation event.

Universal Studios Hollywood Grad Bash is a special event just for Southern California graduating seniors and 8th graders and gives graduates special access to the theme park just like Grad Nites at Disneyland does.

Universal Studios Hollywood 2025 Grad Bash

The next Universal Studios Hollywood Grad Bash takes place for graduating high school seniors:

• May 14, 21, 22, 28, 29, 30
• June 6

But what's even better is Universal Studios Hollywood even offers grad bash for those graduating 8th grade with Universal Studios Hollywood Jr. Grad Bash which takes place:

• May 1, 8, and 23, 2025

These dates line up with similar offerings Disneyland does for Grad Nites so if you are visiting Southern California in May this is helpful information to be aware of. There are various Grad Bash ticket options available, including Standard Package or Premium Package, which offer students various theme park entry times, but all include a private Grad Bash party from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

The 2024 price was about $165 per student but might vary depending on which school and package that is selected. There is a standard package that includes admission to the park at 4:00 p.m. along with the special after hours party and a deluxe package that includes all day access to Universal, the after hours party, meal voucher, and souvenir tote bag.

Universal Studios Hollywood Grad Bash

For both Grad Bash events for high school seniors and 8th graders, the offerings are the same but they are given different nights to highlight each graduating age group.

Tickets to Universal Studios Hollywood Grad Bash and Jr. Grad Bash are all exclusive after hours event which means shorter lines for some of the most popular attractions for teens! The event will also include special graduation-themed photo ops throughout the park along with dance parties hosted by live DJs.

As for chaperones, benefits include one free park admission, Universal Express Unlimited access, complimentary chair massage, food and drink and more in their private lounge areas. There is one free paid chaperone park admission for every fifteen student admissions.

Avoiding Universal Grad Bash Crowds

The good thing about Universal Studios Hollywood is that the Grad Bash takes place after the parks close from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Unlike Disneyland, the parks at Universal Studios Hollywood don't close early for Grad Bash.

Guests might notice an increase in crowds later in the day as Grad Bash attendees arrive as they can access the park as early as 4:00 p.m or they can opt to purchase an all day ticket pass. You will notice the impact from grads in the park so you might want to consider purchasing Express Pass if you are visiting on a day that Grad Bash is taking place.
