Universal Orlando CROWD Predictions Updated Through End of 2025, Epic Expectations & Shifting Demand

2025 is a major year for Universal Orlando as the resort prepares to open the brand new park Epic Universe this summer. Looking ahead to the remainder of the year, we just updated our Mickey Visit Universal Orlando crowd calendar through December 2025 with crowd-level projections for each day of the year. The calendar also includes all special events.

In our Universal Orlando crowd calendar, we take into account a variety of factors including our own personal experience visiting the resort combined with data including 1-day ticket prices, annual passholder blockout dates, Express Pass pricing, school breaks, and holidays to make crowd calendar determinations.

Let's look ahead to the Universal Orlando crowd patterns for the remainder of 2025 and a few notable differences we expect in crowd levels this year…

Looking at the remainder of 2025 from March through the end of December, there are certain crowd trends you can always expect during certain times of the year. School breaks will often have a notable impact on crowd levels, and you can typically expect crowds to pick up during Spring Break in March and April, with a surge in summer crowds during June and July.

For the remaining months in 2025, you'll find that September is a much slower time to visit with significantly lower crowd levels, but this is largely due to visitors avoiding vacationing due to the hot, humid weather and the potential for hurricanes during this time.

You can always expect periods of what we categorize as “massive crowds” during major holidays like Thanksgiving and during the last stretch of December surrounding Christmas and New Year's. This year, we also anticipate a stretch of massive crowds during peak Spring Break season in April as indicated by annual pass blockout dates.

However, it is reasonable to expect that we could see large crowds materialize because the opening of Epic Universe is highly anticipated by so many theme park fans. The new Epic Universe park introduces a new Harry Potter land, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon land, and a land themed around the classic Universal monsters. See the 10 things we're most looking forward to at Epic Universe.

We anticipate that there will possibly be peak crowds rivaling what you'd see during the holidays in the days following the opening through at least Memorial Day weekend. However, there is some research we've done that says the Epic Universe crowd levels might not be so bad but it's better to plan for more instead of less.

Looking at 2025, a notable difference is that we predicted stretches of lower crowds in parts of October and November last year, but based on the data we collected, it looks like this year is expected to be busier than last year in November.

This could be in part to the opening of Epic Universe, many guests might wait to see the new theme park as a part of their holiday travel either for Halloween or the holiday season.
