Top Disneyland Ride Closure Added to Refurb List

A Disneyland ride closure has been added to the refurbishment calendar in the middle of the Christmas celebration at Disneyland. Disneyland will close rides for routine refurbishment throughout the year, so it's important to stay up-to-date on all current Disneyland ride closures so you're not caught off guard during your visit.

This is the second closure of this popular thrill ride in 2025, as it was also closed throughout the entirety of the busy spring break season earlier this year. Keep reading for all of the details! Popular Disneyland Ride Closing for Refurbishment

Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland Park will be closing for refurbishment for the second time this year, starting on December 2. This looks like it's going to be a quick refurbishment, as the calendar shows it will reopen on December 4.

While refurbishment dates are always subject to change, we are not surprised that they would keep this closure so short during the Christmas celebration, especially after the ride had a longer closure earlier this year. Indiana Jones Adventure was previously closed from March 17 through April 24, during the entirety of the peak Spring Break season at Disneyland.

They've timed this short closure to happen in a window that is anticipated to be very low crowds, according to our Mickey Visit Disneyland crowd calendar. The first week of December is generally a great time to visit if you want to avoid the peak holiday crowds that descend later in the month.

This is one of the rides in the highest demand on Disneyland's Lightning Lane Multi Pass service, with return times often quickly pushed further into the day. The majority of the standby queue is outside, wrapping around the temple before it merges with the Lightning Lane line inside the temple. If you see that the outside queue is short or empty, then we recommend not wasting your Lightning Lane on this ride!

If the earliest return time is later in the day, which they often are for this popular ride if you wait to book, we recommend taking some time to search for a better return time with the modify option. We've had a lot of luck with this Lightning Lane hack for this ride specifically.
