A new Disneyland ride closure has been added to the refurbishment calendar in the middle of the Christmas celebration at Disneyland. This is the ride's second closure in 2025 after a longer closure earlier this year during the busy Spring Break season at the parks.
At Mickey Visit, we are constantly tracking all of the Disneyland refurbishments, like the closure of an iconic thrill ride that was recently extended again. Disneyland Thrill Ride Closure

At Disneyland Park, the popular Indiana Jones Adventure will be closing for refurbishment for the second time this year, starting on December 2. This will be a short closure, with the ride reopening on December 4. It was previously closed earlier this year for a longer refurbishment spanning the entirety of the peak Spring Break season, from March 17 to April 24.
We are not surprised that this is such a short closure in the midst of the holiday celebration. Disneyland has timed this closure to happen during a window of time that we predict in our Mickey Visit Disneyland crowd calendar to be below normal crowds. This is generally a good week to visit during the holidays before the peak crowds descend later in the month.

Indiana Jones Adventure is one of the most highly demanded attractions in Disneyland's Lightning Lane Multi Pass service, with return times snatched up quickly. The majority of the standby line weaves around the outside of the temple before merging with the Lightning Lane queue on the inside, so if you see that the outdoor queue is on the emptier side, that means you shouldn't waste your Lightning Lane on this ride.
If return times are pushed very far out in the day, which they often are for this ride if you wait to book, you can utilize the modify feature to try and secure an earlier time. We've had a lot of luck using this Lightning Lane hack for this ride specifically.

Meanwhile, a few other longer closures at Disneyland Park are expected to overlap with this one, as they do not yet have a reopening date listed on the calendar. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad's closure was recently extended again, and Storybook Land Canal Boats and Casey Jr. Circus train also do not have reopening dates at this time. We just recently learned that Storybook Land Canal Boats will be getting a new scene during its closure, which we are very excited about!
