1. Medicine

it's a small world Disneyland The most important item on your Disneyland hotel packing list will be medicine (if necessary). You don't want to open up your suitcase and find that you don’t have necessary medication with you. While you may be able to have your prescription sent to a nearby pharmacy, that is not always a guaranteed option. Not only will you want to remember to pack your medicine, you’ll also want to make sure that you have enough to last your entire trip. Make sure that you check ahead of time and request a prescription refill prior to your trip if you’re going to need more. Running out of medicine during your trip can be equally as bad as forgetting to pack it in the first place. Disney does have medicine available at Disneyland as we detail in our article on the topic.

2. Toiletries

Men's convenience kit As a whole, toiletries aren’t something that are usually forgotten. However, sometimes certain items get left behind, which can really leave a damper on your trip. Here are some toiletries that you’ll want to make sure are on your Disneyland hotel packing list.
  • Deodorant
  • Razor
  • Toothbrush / Toothpaste
  • Feminine Products
  • Hair Products / Hair Tools
  • Skin Care
  • Make Up
If you do happen to forget any of these items, you should be able to purchase them relatively easily. The Disneyland Resort hotels have shops that carry a variety of toiletries for Guests’ needs. If you’re staying off property, your hotel may also have a similar shop. If not, there are a number of stores in the surrounding area. You could also place an Amazon order and have the items delivered directly to your hotel. Amazon has a variety of convenience kits which include a number of standard toiletry items. This is a great way to get all of the items that you need in one simple delivery.

3. Hotel Shoes

Slippers and flip flops READ MORE – Are You a Disney Snob? 9 Red Flags to Spot If you don’t like the idea of walking around hotels in your bare feet, you may want to add hotel shoes to your Disneyland hotel packing list. For the room, a nice pair of slippers can keep you comfortable and keep your feet off the ground. These will feel exceptionally nice after doing a lot of walking in the parks! If you also don’t want your feet touching the floor of the shower, you can add some flip flops to your list. This is an easy way to keep your feet off of the floor of the shower, while still keeping them accessible for washing.

4. Chargers

Most likely, you will have a lot of electronics with you during your trip, both for travel and for your time in the parks. Because of this, you will need to make sure that you include chargers on your Disneyland hotel packing list. Think about all of the electronics that you will have with you and make sure that you have a charging source for each one. Your list of electronic items that need charging may include things such as:
  • Phones
  • Tablets
  • Earbuds / Headphones
  • Gaming Systems
  • Smart Watches
  • Charging Bricks / Portable Chargers
  • Fans
  • Portable Music Players
To avoid needing a charger for every device, consider buying a charging station so you can charge multiple devices at the same time!

5. Sleep Sounds/Lights

Sleep sound machine For those who sleep with white noise makers or other sleep sound machines, make sure to bring those with you! When this is part of your normal sleep routine, it can be extremely hard to fall asleep without them. Especially in a new place! The lack of sounds can be deafening when it’s something that you’re use to. Another sleeping item that you may want to add to your Disneyland hotel packing list is lights. This may only apply to you if you have children who are afraid of the dark. However, the same thought process applies. If they’re used to sleeping with a night light or something similar, they’ll be more comfortable sleeping in the hotel room if they have one with them. My son uses a sound machine that also lights up. This takes care of both sounds and lights at nighttime. To purchase a similar machine, click here.

6. Power Strip

power strip Many hotels are updating their rooms to include additional outlets and even USB ports. However, sometimes it’s still not enough. When you have multiple people sharing a room and they all have their own electronics, it can become a hassle when everyone needs to charge their devices. To avoid this problem, add a power strip to your Disneyland packing list! Some power strips even include USB ports, making them even more convenient. This 6 outlet, 3 USB port power strip would be a perfect addition to your Disneyland packing list!

7. Laundry Products

Camelot Inn near Disneyland All three of the Disneyland Resort hotels have 24-hour laundry rooms for Guests to use. Many off property hotels also have laundry rooms. If your hotel is equipped with laundry facilities and you plan on using them, remember to pack laundry products! Usually laundry products are available for purchase on site, but they’re often extremely overpriced. For travel, laundry detergent sheets are extremely useful. By using laundry detergent sheets, you can avoid an unnecessary mess and add less weight to your luggage.

8. Pop Up Hamper

Popup hamper Whether you’ll be doing laundry on your Disneyland trip or not, you’ll need a way to keep your dirty clothes separate from your clean clothes. An easy way to do this is by packing a popup hamper. With the ability to fold flat, popup hampers take up minimal luggage space. They can then easily be unfolded, used to store dirty laundry during your trip, and then folded back down and packed away when it’s time to leave. A popup hamper with handles would be a nice addition to any Disneyland hotel packing list. With handles, your hamper can easily be moved or carried whenever necessary.

9. Travel Steamer

Mickey Mouse Magic Happens Parade Disneyland Oftentimes, when you take your clothes out of your suitcase, they look…. Well, they look like they just came out of a suitcase. No matter how carefully you pack, it’s hard to avoid getting wrinkles in your clothes. One way to make sure that your clothes are wrinkle-free for your days in the parks is by using a steamer. Handheld travel steamers are quick, efficient, and easy to use. While many hotel rooms come equipped with an iron and ironing board, not all of them do. It’s much easier to bring your own tool with you. Make sure that you add a travel steamer to your Disneyland hotel packing list so you’re always prepared.

10. Dish Products

dish soap and bottle soap Odds are, you won’t have too many actual dishes that you’ll be dealing with in your hotel room. However, it’s still a good idea to add dish products to your Disneyland hotel packing list. Make sure that you pack dish soap as well as a sponge or dishcloth. By doing so, you’ll be able to wash any reusable bottles, straws, or utensils that you’re using during your trip. To make this additionally convenient, consider packing a dish wand! If you’re traveling with a baby, you’ll especially want to make sure that you have dish products with you. Click here to purchase bottle and dish soap that is specifically made for your baby’s safety.

11. Disposable Utensils, Plates, and Cups

Chip and Dale Disneyland Even though you may not be using actual dishes in your hotel room, that doesn’t mean you won’t be eating there! It’s a good idea to add disposable plates, cups, and utensils to your Disneyland hotel packing list. Whether you have groceries delivered to your room, order take out, or have leftover park food or snacks, you’ll want to be prepared for the food that you’ll be eating in your hotel. You can order a complete set here!

Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival treats

Ziploc bags can come in handy for a variety of things. One use is for food. Whether you need to store packages of food that have already been opened, or you’re packing food to take to the parks for the day, Ziploc bags are a great thing to add to your Disneyland hotel packing list. It’s also a good idea to pack a couple of Ziploc bags in your park bag! That way, if you have park snacks and don't finish them, you can keep them fresh throughout the day. You can also use Ziploc bags to help pack things in your luggage. If your kiddos get a playset that has a lot of pieces, you can make sure that none of those pieces get lost during travel by packing them up in a Ziploc bag. You can also use them to pack other small items such as hair clips or jewelry!
