First Look at NEW Pixar Characters for Disneyland Pixar Fest

Pixar Fest at Disneyland is the biggest celebration at the theme park this summer with a new Pixar parade, themed Pixar fireworks, an extensive list of merchandise, and a variety of Pixar food marketplace booths. If you love Pixar, this summer is the perfect time to visit Disneyland.

We have spent time enjoying all the new experiences at the Disneyland Pixar Fest media event and we just met the NEW Pixar characters that are part of this new celebration.

These are going to be popular character interactions since we do not often see these Disney Pixar characters in the parks! We've also seen new characters, like those from Turning Red and Soul, debut in the brand new Pixar parade! Keep scrolling for the details on these brand NEW Pixar characters coming to Disneyland.

Pixar Fest Disneyland Celebration

Pixar Fest takes place at Disneyland April 26th through August 4th. This summer celebration hasn't returned since 2018 and Disney is going all out for its return with a brand new parade, an updated fireworks show, a HUGE assortment of merchandise, and new food items!

Pixar Fest also includes brand new Pixar characters in Disneyland for the first time including characters from the most recent Pixar films like Elemental, Luca, Turning Red, and more!

Popular Pixar Up Character Experience

One of the most exciting new Pixar character meet and greets is the opportunity to meet Dug the dog from the Pixar film Up! We had the chance to meet Dug today at the Disneyland Pixar Fest media event and we loved how interactive this new experience is.

While we have seen Dug in the theme parks before, this new character interaction includes audio recordings with similar popular phrases from the films like:

• “If you are in line for the fire hydrant you must wait your turn”
• “Hi there my name is Dug, I’m ever so happy right now because of you”
• “I smile with my tongue”

Dug will be roaming in front of Redwood Creek Challenge Trail and guests can check the Disneyland app for the most recent times. This will be a very popular meet and greet as Dug is an extremely popular Disney character!

Turning Red characters, Meilin and Ming Lee, will also be greeting guests in California Adventure!

Pixar Fest NEW Character Interactions

The Pixar Pals Playtime Party taking place in the Fantasyland Theatre at Disneyland will feature BRAND NEW Pixar character interactions along with returning favorite characters like Merida from Brave!

Guests will have the opportunity to interact with characters, like Wade and Ember from Elemental above, with high energy shows, games, and photo ops.

You can also meet both Luca and Alberto from Luca in the Fantasyland Theatre. It is great to see these new character interactions introduced to Disneyland. I will be curious to see if any of these character experiences stick around after the conclusion of Pixar Fest in August.

This interactive space in the Fantasyland Theatre is a great place for character experiences that are all inspired by the Pixar films.

While this area won't offer character autographs, you will be able to see characters with their unique film backdrops.

Guests can also view popular Pixar characters including the characters from Turning Red, Toy Story, Up, Soul, and more in the Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! at California Adventure.
