A new hotel near Disneyland called “Road House Hotel” will soon begin construction. The hotel is a redevelopment of a 0.68-acre vacant industrial site and parking. According to the permit entry, it will be a 70,901 sq. ft. 6-story hotel featuring 125 guest rooms, a rooftop pool with a bar, a restaurant, and ground-level parking.

It looks like the rooftop pool deck will be positioned to have a good view of the Disneyland fireworks, like the nearby Parkestry Rooftop Bar at JW Marriott, which is one of our top locations outside of Disneyland to watch the fireworks.

According to a previous article by Urbanize LA, the design of the hotel is described as a “modern take on classic American architecture.” The report mentions that “on-site amenities would include a rooftop pool deck, a fitness room, and a guest lounge.” The hotel is being developed by RH Anaheim Barn, LLC. The site has been cleared, and it looks like construction is going to begin soon.

The hotel will be located at 1730 S Clementine St., roughly a 20-minute walk from Disneyland. This is a bigger walk than many of our top hotels within walking distance of Disneyland and may be a little further than some are comfortable with, especially at the end of the day. Guests can also utilize the ART shuttle for transportation to and from the parks via the Route 07 Clementine Line, which has a stop right next to the hotel.

With the recent news about Early Entry ending soon at the Disneyland Resort hotels, we expect to see some of that demand shift to other nearby hotels in the Anaheim area. This new hotel will provide another option for guests within a reasonable distance of the resort.

Another advantage of this hotel is its location across from Anaheim GardenWalk, which is home to several dining options, shopping, and entertainment. See the map of the walk from the new hotel to Disneyland below.

We recently got some news about some other changes and potential new additions coming to Anaheim, including some ART shuttle changes that may bring new Uber & Lyft fees, as well as a proposed gondola system that the city is considering to connect the Platinum Triangle and Anaheim Resort District, Anaheim's two major tourist hubs.

Details on the hotel permit were first reported by Theme Park IQ.
