With the Disney Destiny themed to heroes and villains, it's no surprise that Marvel heroes are heavily featured throughout the ship's design and experiences. The Marvel experiences aboard the ship will feature Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, and more Avengers heroes.

“The heroes and villains theme of the Disney Destiny provides the perfect platform for us to collaborate with Disney Cruise Line on all-new, Marvel-inspired experiences guests won’t find anywhere else on land or at sea across the multiverse,” said Brian Crosby, executive, Marvel Experiences Development. “We’re honoring some of our classic heroes like Black Panther and Spider-Man on board, and we’re celebrating the larger-than-life personalities of the Avengers as inspiration for one-of-a-kind venues. This will be a must-do for all True Believers!”

Black Panther in the Grand Hall

Black Panther inspired Grand Hall Disney Destiny

The Grand Hall of the Disney Destiny is inspired by the “rich lore, distinctive iconography and vibrant palette” of the Black Panther films. Walt Disney Imagineering worked with the costume team from the Black Panther movies to shape the creative vision for this space. In the Grand Hall, there will be details like metalwork on the pillars inspired by the banded armor and stacked jewelry found in Wakanda, as well as a light fixture inspired by Vibranium with effects that will “fill the room with life and color.”

In the Grand Hall, there will be a statue of T’Challa, the King of Wakanda, featured. See a closer look at the statue below:

Dr. Strange Lounge

The Disney Destiny will be home to Disney Cruise Line's first lounge inspired by Dr. Strange, The Sanctum. In addition to holding “mystical items designed to aid sorcerers in protecting the world,” the space will also provide entertainment, drinks like cocktails, spirits, and coffees, and “unique surprises from Dr. Strange's New York Sanctum” like a circular mirror behind the bar resembling the Sanctum's iconic window.

Spider-Man As Stern Character for Disney Destiny

Disney Destiny Marvel experiences Spider-Man stern character

A Marvel hero will be the stern character for the first time in Disney Cruise Line history! On the Disney Destiny, the sculpture will feature Spider-Man webbing his Spider-Bots, who have set out in an “attempt at decorating the filigree” with their webs. This is really exciting that Marvel is being featured both in the entryway of the ship with Black Panther and at the back of the ship with Spider-Man!

Marvel-Inspired Destiny Tower Suite

Another Marvel experience on the Disney Destiny will be the Destiny Tower Suite, a Marvel-inspired penthouse honoring Iron Man and taking inspiration from Tony Stark's industrial designs. “Armor-like materials and mechanical elements will be balanced by soft, inviting finishes” in the Destiny Tower Suite's design.

In the suite, there will be a two-story window enabling guests to enjoy views of the top deck and beyond. The Destiny Tower suite, which comfortably sleeps 8 guests, will feature 2,000 square feet of living space, designated areas for eating, sleeping, and playing, and a full kitchen and private ensuite elevator.

On the Disney Destiny off the Grand Hall on decks four and five, guests will be able to enjoy Saga, which will serve as a hub for family activities during the day and offer adult-exclusive entertainment during the evening. The two-story venue will offer interactive shows and events in a space that takes cues from the architecture of Wakanda.

Marvel Experiences from Disney Wish and Disney Treasure Coming to Disney Destiny

At Worlds of Marvel, guests can enjoy a celebration focused on Rocket and Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy. Groot takes over a tribute to the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe by organizing a surprise party.
