Knott’s Berry Farm Grocery Brand Discontinued

Knott’s Berry Farm has one of the most unique histories for a theme park with a legacy of selling berries, berry preserves, and pies that first began in 1920 before it fully focused on becoming one of the first Southern Californian theme parks.

Knott’s Berry Farm sold their grocery brand to the J.M. Smucker Company in 1998 which included items like jams, preserves, salad dressings, and syrups. Now after such a long legacy as a household name, the Knott’s Berry Farm grocery brand is being discontinued.

Why Is Knott’s Berry Farm Jam Being Discontinued?

A representative from J.M. Smucker Company told TODAY.com, “The decision to discontinue our Knott’s Berry Farm products is in alignment with our strategy to continuously evaluate our portfolio and ensure we are dedicating resources to the areas with the greatest growth potential.” In other words, the brand was not making enough profit for the company as compared to their other products.

The brand has now been officially discontinued and will no longer be sold in grocery stores. Once supplies run out, it will no longer be produced.

This discontinuation does not impact the theme park Knott’s Berry Farm as the grocery brand is no longer affiliated with the theme park. However, the grocery brand has often been available for sale in souvenier shops (under the name Berry Market) at the theme park and its online store. After their stock runs out, that will likely be the end of those sales in the theme park.

Where Can I Buy Knott’s Berry Farm Jam?

You can still currently find Knott’s Berry Farm jams and cookies on Amazon and those that remain in the grocery stores until supplies run out. Knott’s Berry Farm theme park likely has its own stock of the Berry Market brand that will remain for sale until their supplies run out. The Knott’s Berry Farm website also has the jams marked down along with a buy one, get one free promotion.

I have even seen the Knott’s Berry Farm grocery brand products in stores like Homegoods, T.J. Maxx, Ross, and Marshalls so these locations are also a place to keep an eye on if you are looking to buy the products before they’re gone forever.

The End of a Nostalgic Product

The legacy of Knott’s Berry Farms roots as a berry farm dating back to the 1920s still holds a large presence within the theme park itself. The classic dark ride attraction, Knott’s Bear-y Tales: Return to the Fair, focuses entirely on the theme of Knott’s Berry Farm jams, pies, and jellies.

The Knott’s Berry Farm grocery brand is a nostalgic product and many fans are sad to see it go. Some online retailers are already selling out of their remaining inventory so if you want to grab a piece of Knott’s history before it’s gone forever, you better act fast.
