Is An EPCOT Dining Package Worth it?

Festival of the Arts festival passport

When it comes to specialty packages at Walt Disney World, it’s often wondered if the experience is worth the price. A lot of times, the answer is yes. However, when it comes to the DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series Dining Package, we don’t feel that it’s always worth the price. Here’s why.

The main perk of the dining package is that it includes guaranteed seating for the DISNEY ON BROADWAY concerts. However, from our experience over years, we’ve found that it’s generally not difficult to find seating for these performances. Festival of the Arts isn’t the most popular of the EPCOT festivals. With four festivals in total, some of the others, such as the International Food & Wine Festival, bring in much larger crowds. Because of this, acquiring seats for the concert series is usually a nonissue.

When Should You Purchase the Dining Package?

Festival of the Arts food display

Even though we don’t think the DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series Dining Package is worth it overall, there are a few instances when you may want to consider purchasing the package. One of these moments would be if you’re visiting EPCOT over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend.

Martin Luther King Jr. weekend is a very popular time at Walt Disney World. All four of the theme parks are expected to see above average crowd levels from Friday, January 17th, through Monday, January 20th. If you plan on going to EPCOT during this time, and you’re wanting to see one of the Broadway performances, we highly recommend purchasing a dining package so you have guaranteed seating.

Another time we would suggest purchasing a DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series Dining Package is if you very specifically want to see the show. If you want to experience one of these special performances, see a certain artist, and simply enjoy great seating, a dining package would certainly be a good investment for you.

Beyond these reasons, we simply can’t justify paying the price for this dining package. Since seating is usually easy to come by, we don’t find that it’s worth it to spend the money when guaranteed seating is the only true incentive of the package.
