Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance Pool Area Closing
The Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance hotel is across the street from Disneyland. While not technically on Disneyland property, it still sees a lot of bookings from Disneyland guests due to its close proximity, affordable prices, and large rooms featuring two showers and bunk beds. The large waterpark-style pool area onsite is also a major draw for guests who want to stay at the hotel.

However, for guests looking to stay at this hotel at the beginning of 2027, that pool area will not be available. The swimming pool, whirlpool spa, and Surfside Waterpark will be closing for refurbishment from January 18 to January 28, 2027. They are all slated to reopen the next day, January 29, 2027. This closure is for annual maintenance of the pool area, so it will not be undergoing any massive changes during its downtime.
Scheduled pool closures typically happen around that time of year because of the lower temperatures. Not as many hotel guests are looking to get in a pool during the winter months, so scheduling maintenance during that low-traffic period is the best way to ensure that the closure does not impact a busier time of year, such as spring break or the summertime.
The pool area at the Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance is great for guests of all ages. It features a splash pad for younger kids, as well as two large water slides for older kids and adults. If you are more interested in relaxation, there is also a pool and hot tub in the area for guests to enjoy.
A lot of Disneyland guests prefer this hotel over the Disneyland Hotel. It is only a 10-minute walk to the parks, which is closer than the Disneyland Hotel. The Courtyard by Marriott is also cheaper than staying at the Disneyland Hotel, one of the biggest reasons why some guests would rather stay there. Prices do vary, but the Courtyard by Marriott averages about $450 per night, while the Disneyland Hotel averages about $600 per night.

At the parks, ride closures at Disneyland are quite scarce currently. The Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition closed on June 6, and no reopening date has been released yet.
Haunted Mansion is scheduled to close from August 8 to August 20. It is currently scheduled to open again on August 21. This closure is to bring back the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay, which brings characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas to the Haunted Mansion during the Halloween and Christmas seasons.
