New DJ Dance Party Coming to Hollywood Backlot for Disneyland Pixar Fest – First In Nearly a Decade!

Disney just shared more details about the offerings guests can look forward to during Pixar Fest, which will be starting this spring at Disneyland! We received new details about the new daytime parade, the returning fireworks show with new scenes, the Pixar-themed decor, merchandise, and special foods that will be offered, and more.

Among these announcements, Disney shared details about a new DJ dance party that will be coming to the Hollywood Backlot at Disney California Adventure during Pixar Fest. We expect this to be a popular offering, and we'll share everything we know so far about what it will include below! This is the first time that we have had a dance party setup back here for an extended period for nearly a decade.

Club Pixar DJ Dance Party at the Hollywood Backlot

At the Hollywood Backlot in Disney California Adventure, guests have the opportunity during the daytime to take photos in front of Pixar-themed backdrops, play games, and encounter characters.

At night, there will be a Club Pixar nighttime party in the area inspired by the stories of Pixar Animation Studios. Guests can experience an interactive DJ dance party, live performances, games, photo opportunities, themed food, specially crafted beverages, and more. Hollywood Land used to have nighttime events in the past like “ElecTRONica” for the TRON: Legacy film from 2010-2012 and the “Mad T Party” for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland that ran from 2012-2014 and returned from 2015-2016, and both of these had massive cult followings. However, nighttime events like these haven't been featured at the park in several years. We expect that Club Pixar will be a popular offering with guests!

Another new entertainment offering coming for Pixar Fest at the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland Park is the Pixar Pals Playtime Party where families can dance and play with favorite characters throughout the day. This experience will offer a high-energy show, interactive games, photo locations, activities inspired by Pixar feature films, and a selection of iconic shorts on the big screen.
