Heads Up! Disney World Ride Closing For Refurbishment in Early 2025

Disney World will often schedule ride closures during slower times of the year, and a new ride refurbishment has just been added to the calendar for early 2025. This closure takes place during some of the months that we consider to be the best times to visit Disney World.

As you are planning your 2025 Disney World trip, it is important to be aware of any ride refurbishments to see what will be open during your visit. This newly announced ride closure joins the list of a few other experiences closed for work to introduce new Disney World rides and experiences coming in 2025.

Below, we will share the dates of the most recent Disney World closure that was just announced!

At EPCOT, Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros will be closing on January 6, 2025. According to Scott Gustin on X, it is expected to be closed for a few months and reopen on March 15.

This underrated Disney World ride takes you on a boat ride taking in the sights of Mexico as you search for Donald Duck who has gone missing. We hope that this long refurbishment means that Disney is finally going to take the steps to upgrade the animatronics which are known for constantly breaking down. During some of these breakdowns, we've seen some unusual replacements from a general cardboard cutout of Donald Duck to even a potted plant (that instantly went viral) wearing a sombrero.

This is one of a few other Disney World rides that have current or upcoming closures on the calendar. This list notably includes a very popular roller coaster that is expected to be closed for at least a year to receive new enhancements.
