Star Wars Season of the Force Food Review
For the purposes of our Season of the Force foods review below, we mostly just focused on the new foods that are available this year with the exception of one item. There were definitely some hits and misses this year. However, there are several favorites that we enjoyed last year that have returned this year!
Some of my personal favorites out of these returning items are the Wookie Cookie offered at the Grand Californian Great Hall Cart and the Dewback Chili Noodles from Docking Bay 7.
Now let's dive into some of the new Season of the Force food items we tried! We had the opportunity to try these items as part of a media event for Season of the Force hosted by Disney, but all of our opinions are our own.
First up, we tried the Fried Falumpaset Cheese Skewer with crispy potato and mustard-cheese dipping sauce. This new item came highly recommended, so we were excited to give it a try! This has a fun texture, and the mustard sauce had a nice tang without being too overpowering. This is a nice midday snack and quite fun to eat. It was gone very quickly! I would rate this a 7.5/10.
Next, we tried some of the new items from Galactic Grill. One of the new items here is the Loaded Outpost Fries, which contains crinkle-cut fries and onion rings topped with BBQ pulled pork, cheddar and Monterey jack blend, pickled red onions, roasted corn, sour cream drizzle, and green onions.
This was good, but it has a lot of fried things in it. The barbecue pork was flavorful, and there was some nice variety in the dish, but it's overall very heavy despite its reasonable portion size. I'd recommend sharing this one. I would rate this a 5.5/10. It was good, but nothing mind-blowing.
We also tried a returning item at Galactic Grill, the Pi-Co Punch. This non-alcoholic drink contains pineapple juice, coconut milk, and lime juice garnished with pineapple chunks and lotus root.
This tastes a lot like a pina colada and is a fun color! This drink is super refreshing and was gone in an instant. Easily a 10/10!
We also tried the new Galactic Gyro Burger from this location. This contains angus beef and vegetable patty, Havarti cheese slice, feta tzatziki sauce, cucumber, tomato, and red onion served on a toasted ciabatta bun.
Admittedly, I made a mistake and had the Loaded Outpost Fries before trying this one, so I was already kind of half full before making my way over to this. There are some interesting Mediterranean flavors in this, and it is a healthier alternative to a lot of the theme park food out there. The feta tzatziki sauce was pretty good, but there wasn't a lot of it.
The bread was also quite thick, as you can see in the photo above, which made it a bit difficult to eat. I would say this is a 6/10.
And lastly, we tried the new Pistachio-Cherry Parfait with layers of pistachio mousse, red velvet cake, cherry pie filling, chocolate pearls, and chocolate popping spheres. I really wanted to like this one, but there were too many elements that weren't working for me.

There are whole pieces of cherry in this, and the cherry flavor is very strong. There is not much variety in flavor like there is in the other Galactic Grill parfaits (that I typically really enjoy). I ended up mostly just scraping some of the mousse off the top. I would rate this a 3/10. All of that being said, this is quite a fun dessert visually!
