You Need This Info to Ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure When It Opens, There Will Be No Standby Line

We are a couple of weeks away from the official opening date of Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Disneyland, and details have just been announced for how you can access it when it opens!

While the ride opens to all on November 15, previews are currently underway for Magic Key holders. You can see our review of how these Magic Key holder previews work from our recent experience riding the attraction.

There are two different ways you will be able to access Tiana's Bayou Adventure when it opens at Disneyland. You can see details on both of these options as well as everything you need to consider below!

When Tiana's Bayou Adventure opens at Disneyland, you will be able to access it by joining a virtual queue or through a Lightning Lane reservation with Lightning Lane Multi Pass. During the ride's initial opening days, a standby queue will not be offered.

Update! Disneyland has added an additional option for joining the virtual queue for Tiana's Bayou Adventure. If you request to join via virtual queue on the Disneyland app, there are three enrollment times daily, at 7AM, 12PM, and 4PM. You can choose one member of your party to enroll your whole group in a virtual queue at the same time (as long as your account is linked to your group's tickets).

Visitors who have a park reservation to Disneyland Park with a 1 Park Per Day ticket or park reservation for Disneyland with a Park Hopper ticket can request to join the 7AM virtual queue. Visitors inside Disney California Adventure with a park hopper or inside Disneyland Park can request to join the 12PM or 4PM virtual queue. Each guest can request to enter the virtual queue no more than once per day during park hours.

Be ready on the app a few minutes before the distribution times, and select “Virtual Queues” on the home screen. From here you'll follow the steps to enroll your group. If your group is called to return for the attraction, you will get a notification via the app, and you can go to experience the attraction within your designated return window.

There are a couple of things to note about accessing the ride via Virtual Queue. Haunted Mansion Holiday is still utilizing a virtual queue as work continues on its queue, and when more than one attraction is using a virtual queue, you will need to enter them one at a time. You can only hold one attraction boarding group at a time, and you can join a virtual queue for another attraction after redeeming an existing boarding group.

The line for the Virtual Queue will also be long, like a standby line would be, while the Lightning Lane line (which we discuss more below) will be shorter. At Magic Kingdom, the Virtual Queue for Tiana's Bayou Adventure line got very long when we were there, and we waited over an hour.

You can also book a Lightning Lane arrival window using Lightning Lane Multi Pass for the ride. However, keep in mind that at Disney World, Lightning Lane reservations go very quickly for Tiana's Bayou Adventure, so we anticipate the same thing will happen at Disneyland, at least at first when the ride is newly opened.

One difference to note, however, is that the attraction opened at Magic Kingdom in the summer, whereas it's opening at Disneyland in the winter months. It's possible that when the weather is cold, it could slow down how fast the Lightning Lane reservations go and make them easier to grab.
