Classic Disneyland Attraction Closure End Date Added
Pirates of the Caribbean closed for refurbishment at Disneyland Park on May 4, 2026. When the ride closed, Disney didn’t mention a reopening date, but shared that the closure would last over a month.

Disneyland shared with us at Mickey Visit that workers tending to the Pirates of the Caribbean closure spent time upkeeping and enhancing the ride’s rockwork and lighting, as well as the animation of the Audio-Animatronics figures.
Now, we have received news that Pirates of the Caribbean will reopen at Disneyland on June 26, 2026.
In tandem with the Pirates of the Caribbean closure, Disney also closed Blue Bayou Restaurant. The table service restaurant’s dining room overlooks the swamp scene toward the beginning of the ride. Blue Bayou Restaurant reopened on May 21, but construction walls still obstructed its view of Pirates of the Caribbean.

When Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin recently reopened after its four-week refurbishment, guests were surprised to find the ride’s spinning mechanism reprogrammed. Instead of riders controlling the spins of the vehicle themselves, the cars now spin on their own.
More Disneyland Closures
In addition to Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland Park, Silly Symphony Swings is currently closed next door at Disney California Adventure. Disney has not announced a reopening date. Matterhorn Bobsleds will be closed from July 20 to 23 for a brief refurbishment. We keep track of all Disneyland Resort refurbishments here.
Looking ahead, August 10 marks the conclusion of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration. August 9 will be the last day to experience most of the festivities, which include a special version of World of Color and a viral scavenger hunt. The Paint the Night parade and the Wondrous Journeys fireworks will continue a few days longer, having their final performances on August 20.
