One of the best souvenirs you’ll get at Disneyland is the photos that capture the memories of your vacation! While Disneyland PhotoPass is available for one-off photos across the parks, you might not know that there is a special private photoshoot experience you can enjoy as well.
Last year, Disneyland introduced Disney PhotoPass “Photo Excursions,” which was a pilot program in both parks. Now, Disneyland has quietly made this offering available again! You can see all details about this experience and what it includes below. A member of our Mickey Visit team was able to try out this offering earlier this month to capture the photos seen here.

Disneyland PhotoPass Photo Excursions Return
Disney “Photo Excursions” are a short, 10-12 minute photoshoot with a Disney PhotoPass photographer. You can choose your photoshoot location from four lands: Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, or Main Street!
You get to keep all of the photos taken during this experience, and you can have as many people as you’d like in your group during the photoshoot! The photo excursions are free if you have an Inspire Key or Believe Key, or if you have purchased Disneyland Lightning Lane Multi Pass on the day of your visit, as these options all include unlimited downloads. You can purchase Disney PhotoPass+ One Day to access this as well.
The line forms at the entrance to Frontierland, and the experience is offered daily from 12 pm until 6:45 pm (for the end of the day, you need to be in line no later than 6/6:30 pm). There isn’t a limit to how many times you can do this experience! If you wanted to even do all four lands, all you’d have to do is get back in line again.

Disneyland didn’t formally announce this offering was returning, and there is no signage showing where you’re supposed to line up, so you need to be in the know to realize this fun opportunity even exists! Be sure to check it out during your next visit. You can also check out our Disneyland PhotoPass guide with tips on how to get the best photos!
