Disneyland Makes Big Move In Preparation for Avengers Campus Expansion

One of the most exciting new additions coming soon to Disneyland is the expansion of Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure, which will include the addition of two new rides, a new e-ticket Multiverse attraction and a new Iron Man ride.

Disney previously shared how these new additions are set to double the size of Avengers Campus, and work on the project will begin next year. Now, Disney is taking the next step for the project as Disneyland has submitted plans to begin preparations for the Avengers Campus expansion.

Disney Prepares for Avengers Campus Expansion

Disneyland has submitted a plan to the city of Anaheim for Avengers Campus expansion prep work, which is currently under review.

According to a report by The Orange County Register, the prep work “addresses utilities, temporary trailers and parking lots in the backstage area behind Avengers Campus” that the expansion will impact. This step comes before the city approves a demolition permit and Disneyland submits the expansion plans.

City officials said that this Avengers Campus expansion is not part of the multi-billion dollar DisneylandForward plan that was recently approved. One of the major additions to Disneyland that has been repeatedly highlighted for the DisneylandForward expansion is the Avatar expansion coming to Disney California Adventure.

There is not yet a specific timeline for when we can expect these two new Avengers Campus rides to open, but their construction will be starting in 2025. You can see our article on what we can expect in the meantime at Disneyland before some of these major new rides debut.
