Disneyland After Dark Themes This Year

The parties this year include several returning favorites, with some new offerings mixed in!

Sweethearts’ Nite is a celebration of love that will feature some brand new offerings this year, including Disney Duets karaoke, a new “Celebrate Love Cavalcade,” and a new “Once Upon a Dream – A Musical Journey Through the Disney Songbook” show with live singers and Disney royalty culminating in a nighttime ball.

Disneyland After Dark: 70 Years of Favorites is a new theme that promises “a sentimental journey commemorating seven decades of unforgettable moments” at Disneyland. The party, celebrating Disneyland’s 70th anniversary, features nods to favorite musical moments, shows, and characters. This sounds like it will be a nostalgic event with guests invited to take a “figurative walk down memory lane with these offerings that pay tribute to the park’s history.”

Highlights include swing dancing at Royal Theatre in Fantasyland, Videopolis Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace, line dancing at The Golden Horseshoe, special photo ops, and “characters from days gone by” including “Long Lost Friends” from Disney Afternoon, “Mother” and “Father” from Carousel of Progress, Merlin, Flik and Atta, and the Fantasmic! Monkeys.
