Disneyland Adding NEW Entertainment Offerings for Christmas Featuring Coco and Encanto

The start of the Christmas celebration at Disneyland is approaching quickly, bringing some exciting new offerings including a Christmas tea, a holiday Character Dining experience at Storytellers Cafe, a scavenger hunt activity in Downtown Disney, and more.

Now, Disney has announced some exciting new Disneyland Christmas entertainment offerings coming to the parks! These will be joining existing favorites like A Christmas Fantasy Parde, the Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party, and more.

The Disney Festival of Holidays kicks off at Disney California Adventure next week, celebrating a variety of holidays with entertainment, festive foods marketplaces, and more. You can see our Disney Festival of Holidays guide for a list of the foods that were recently announced!

This year during the Disney Festival of Holidays, there will be a new Encanto entertainment offering called “Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season.” This new offering will feature Mirabel and friends in “their very own Fiesta de Navidad celebration.” During the experience, you will be able to sing along to favorite songs from the film. This new entertainment offering is scheduled for Mondays through Fridays outside the entrance to Paradise Gardens Park.

This sounds like it may be similar in format to the Encanto sing-along experience that debuted at EPCOT's new CommuniCore Plaza stage this summer. See the concept art for this new entertainment offering below!

The other new entertainment offering during the Festival of Holidays will be “A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel!” This will be a nighttime offering during which Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland and dancers will give bilingual performances of Christmas songs. At the close of the celebration, Miguel from Coco will appear for a rendition of “Silent Night.”

This new entertainment offering is scheduled for Monday through Friday evenings on Buena Vista Street. We don't yet know if this will replace the current lineup of Five and Dime performances in this space spot.

In addition to this new entertainment for the Disney Festival of Holidays, there will be an expanded variety of live musical acts for the Disney Festival of Holidays featuring several different musical genres, including new live bands and cultural performance groups like Joy, Rangoli Rhythms, Malaya Filipino American Dance Arts, Keali’I O Nālani & Daniel Ho, and more.

At Disneyland Park, Santa will be in a new location this year at Fantasyland Theatre. During “Holiday Fun with Santa and Friends!” at Fantasyland Theatre, Santa and select Disney characters will appear and pose for photos. During the day, families can also enjoy craft-making, singing along to holiday songs, and atmospheric music. Here is a look at the concept art below!

In addition to these new offerings, visitors can also enjoy returning holiday entertainment across the resort during the Christmas celebration, including “Mickey’s Happy Holidays” and Holiday Toy Drummers, “Disney Holiday Dance Party” at Tomorrowland Terrace, the fireworks show “Believe…In Holiday Magic,” “World of Color – Season of Light,” and more.
