“Tea Party” Restaurant Reopening at Disney World

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is known for being one of Disney World’s more elegant hotels. The property belongs to Disney World’s deluxe tier of overnight accommodations and plays host to a number of offerings that set it apart from other Disney resorts, including a wedding chapel, a fancy restaurant with a formal dress code, and, now reopening for the first time since 2020, a dining location perfect for a tea party.
The Garden View Lounge – Tea Experience will reopen on March 19, 2026, at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The location serves snacks, desserts, and, of course, tea in a special dining offering for which reservations are strongly recommended.

Disney shared a sneak peek inside the renovated Garden View Lounge today ahead of the dining location’s official reopening.

The updated aesthetic of The Garden View Lounge swaps the former pastel pink and velvet red in favor of a mint green and light blue color palette, with pops of gold throughout the furnishings.

Overall, the restaurant seems to have a calmer feel to its colors when contrasted with the Valentine’s vibe of the previous look.

The revamped aesthetic and menu of The Garden View Lounge feature touches from Alice in Wonderland, some subtle and others whimsically prominent.
New Menu for Grand Floridian Tea Experience
Upon arriving to The Garden View Lounge – Tea Experience, guests create a customized tea with the guidance of expertly trained cast members. Diners can also partake in signature tea-based cocktails or mocktails.
Once at their table, guests receive a three-tiered plate of food. It includes such creations as The Matcha Mad Hatter sponge cake and the Flamingo Croquet Choux filled with passion fruit cream.
A special menu for Children’s Afternoon Tea includes savory minis like the Queen of Hearts Cheese Toastie and the Fanciful Turkey Wrap. For dessert, there’s the Cheshire Cat Raspberry Macaron, the Chocolate Brownie Branch, and the vanilla White Rabbit Cupcake.
