The Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks will take place on December 30 and December 31. The first showing will be at 7:30 PM and the second showing at 11:50 PM. On both nights, Magic Kingdom will close at 12:00 AM.

The show is synchronized with songs from classic Disney films like “Peter Pan,” “Pinocchio,” and “Aladdin.” The fireworks launch from multiple points around the park, which creates an impressive display and lasts about 10 minutes. The show also includes a countdown.

EPCOT New Year’s Eve Celebration

EPCOT fireworks

Over at EPCOT, there are two nighttime spectaculars that take place on December 31. EPCOT will stay open until 1:00 AM on New Year’s Eve.

First up is the standard nighttime spectacular, Luminous: The Symphony of Us, which takes place at 6:30 PM. This is then followed by Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration at 11:54 PM, which features a countdown display and fireworks launched from around the World Showcase Lagoon.

EPCOT’s New Year’s Eve celebration also includes dance parties around the World Showcase, and it’s one of the best places at Disney World to celebrate, especially for adults.

New Year’s Eve at Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios Christmas

Hollywood Studios also celebrates New Year’s Eve, but on a much smaller scale than Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. The New Year Countdown Fireworks take place at 11:57 PM and feature a projection show with lasers and a few rooftop launch fireworks during the three-minute show. Hollywood Studios will stay open until 12:00 AM.

If you’re hoping to avoid the heaviest crowds while still honoring the New Year, Hollywood Studios is a great choice.

Does Animal Kingdom Have New Year’s Eve Fireworks?

Animal Kingdom Tree of Life

Animal Kingdom does not have any New Year’s Eve fireworks or celebrations, but the Tree of Life Awakenings is running nightly. The Tree of Life Awakenings show takes place each evening once it gets dark and runs continuously until the park closes. This show on the Tree of Life features a musical score and projections of foxes in a wintry forest, hummingbirds, a doe, and more.

Animal Kingdom will close at its regular time of 6:00 PM on New Year’s Eve.
