This Walt Disney World Hotel Amenity is the Best at the Value Resorts

Believe it or not, you can find some of the most fun amenities at Disney World’s value hotels. The value hotels at Walt Disney World are well-known for their whimsical theming and affordability. And despite their price point, many of Disney World’s value hotels are considerably nicer than other off-property hotels.

While the moderate-level and deluxe-level hotels have a lot more to offer than the value-level hotels, there’s one amenity that the value hotels do better: their arcades. I’ve visited all of the hotels that Disney World offers, and it’s clear how much better Disney World’s value hotels do arcades better than any of their other hotels. Here are the best arcades you can find at any Disney World hotel.

These are the Best Arcades at Disney World

All Star Arcade

The word “best” is certainly subjective and depend on individual preferences.

However, there’s a few criteria that set these value hotel arcades apart from moderate and deluxe hotel arcades.

First, these arcades have a larger variety of fun games, like video games, pinball machines, or other classic coin-operated games. Second, these arcades are literally larger than arcades you’ll find at moderate or deluxe hotels. And finally, generally these arcades are well-maintained and clean.

With that out of the way, let’s list the best arcades at the Disney World hotels.

Fast Forward Arcade

Fast Forward Arcade

  • Location: Disney’s Pop Century Resort

With classic arcade games like pinball machines, Space Invaders, and basketball shooting games, as well as modern games like Fast and Furious and Temple Run, adults and kiddos alike will find something they’ll love to play. However, what sets Fast Forward Arcade apart from any other arcade at Disney World is its size. Hands down, the Fast Forward Arcade is the biggest arcade of any Disney World hotel. That also makes it the arcade with the biggest variety of games at any Disney World hotel.

Pixel Play Arcade

Pixel Play Arcade

  • Location: Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

The Pixel Play Arcade is a favorite for many families visiting Disney World. Not only is it conveniently located at the Art of Animation Resort (which is perfect for families that are budget-conscious), but it also has a large space to play in. Much like Fast Forward Arcade, you’ll find classic arcade games and modern games. And like Fast Forward Arcade, you’ll find that Pixel Play Arcade is well-kept and clean. This is likely because Disney understands that how often kiddos will be playing here.

Reel Fun Arcade

Reel Fun Arcade

  • Location: Disney’s All Star Movies Resort

To start our tour of All Star Resort arcades is Reel Fun Arcade, over at All Star Movies Resort. While not as large as Pixel Play Arcade or Fast Forward Arcade, this arcade is still considerably larger than any other arcade at a moderate or deluxe Disney World hotel. Regardless, you still get a wide variety of games to choose from, but not as many as Pixel Play Arcade or Fast Forward Arcade.

Note’able Games

Note’able Games

  • Location: Disney’s All Star Music Resort

Although my initial thought was that all of the arcades across each All Star Resort are the same, this isn’t quite the case. Note’able Games, like Disney World’s other value resort arcades, offers a wide variety of games to fit any kiddo’s needs. While the layout is somewhat similar, you’ll notice that Note’able Games is not as large as Reel Fun Arcade. However, it’s still much larger than many arcades at Disney World’s moderate and deluxe level hotels.

Game Point Arcade

Game Point Arcade

  • Location: Disney’s All Star Sports Resort

The final arcade on this list of best arcades at the Disney World hotels is Game Point Arcade, located at the All Star Sports Resort. Much like Note’able Games, Game Point Arcade is about the same in size. Additionally, you’ll find a similar variety of arcade games that you’ll find at Note’able Games.

These are the SMALLEST Arcades at Disney World

Small Arcade

After some analysis, there seems to be a good reason why the arcades at the Disney World value hotels are much better than those at the moderate or deluxe hotels.

First, with the value hotels offering family accommodations at a much more budget-friendly price point, it makes sense for these hotels to cater to the kiddos. Having amenities that benefit the kiddos make them want to come back again and again.

Additionally, the layout of each lobby at the value hotels are much more streamlined than those of the moderate or deluxe resorts, making it more natural for families to make their way to the arcades. The arcades are also centrally located, making it easy for anyone staying at a value resort to access them.

On the other hand, the arcades at the moderate and deluxe resorts are usually tucked away and somewhat difficult to find. Additionally, the amenities at the moderate and deluxe resorts focus less on arcades and more on things like pools, spas, and sport courts.

With that said, let’s take a quick look at how some of the arcades at the moderate and deluxe resorts compare.

Arcadia Games

Arcadia Games

  • Location: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Arcadia Games at the Grand Floridian Resort is notorious for being one of the smallest arcades at Disney World. And with its smaller size comes a much smaller variety of games. You’ll still find some classic games like Pac Man and more modern games like Guitar Hero, but Arcadia Games lacks many of the larger-sized games like the basketball shooting games. However, with what Arcadia Games lacks is more than made up for with its restaurants, proximity to Magic Kingdom, easy access to transportation, pool, and more.

Arcades at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

Fort Wilderness Arcade

There are two arcades at Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. The first is Davy Crockett’s Wilderness Arcade at Pioneer Hall. The second is Daniel Boone’s Wilderness Arcade near Meadow Swimmin’ Pool. However, even though there are two arcades at this resort, both are extremely small. In fact, walking through here makes you feel cramped. Admittedly though, Disney does a good job packing as many arcade games as they could into these small spaces.

Medicine Show Arcade

Medicine Show Arcade

  • Location: Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside

While certainly bigger than the arcades at Fort Wilderness and the Grand Floridian, Medicine Show Arcade at Port Orleans Riverside is still considerably smaller than any of the arcades at the Disney World value resorts. Additionally, in our experience, Medicine Show Arcade wasn’t kept up as much. Comparatively, the arcades at the value resorts were much cleaner and felt more updated.

Important Information to Know About the Arcades at Disney World

All Star Arcade

  • There are no stand-alone arcades at the Disney World theme parks – they can only be found at the Disney World hotels
  • Arcades are open daily, but operating times vary by resort. You can find the operating time of the arcade at your resort by searching for the activities and recreation sign scattered around your resort
  • You must purchase a Game Card to play and add points to your card through a kiosk located within the arcade. Your Game Card can be recharged and used at any of the Disney World arcades
  • Games are content-approved by the American Amusement Machine Association standards
