These Are the 10 Worst Disney Springs Restaurants According to Yelp, Plus Our Thoughts

There are two main things that attract visitors to Disney Springs during a trip to Walt Disney World: shopping and restaurants. There are so many restaurants scattered throughout the complex that it can be difficult to narrow down which dining option sounds best. Some of these restaurants are better than others.

Sites like Yelp try to provide helpful information on which restaurants are worth your time. We’ve compiled a list of the 10 lowest-rated dining options in Disney Springs, with all of the entries having at least 50 reviews and coming in at 3.6/5 stars or lower. In addition to the opinions of reviewers, we’ll also give our thoughts on whether these restaurants deserve the ratings they currently have. We've previously looked at the lowest rated Disney World restaurants on Yelp overall.

The Edison

Credit: MickeyVisit.com.

The Edison has the highest rating on our list, coming in at 3.6 out of 5 stars. The 1920s-themed eatery offers a variety of American dishes, specialty cocktails, and live performance acts all throughout the day and evening. Unfortunately, some of the details that are meant to make it stand out as a dining option are also the biggest pain points for several of the guests who have eaten there.

One of the biggest complaints on Yelp is that the food is relatively basic and uninteresting for how unique the restaurant itself is. Another problem diners had was with the layout of the building and the stage setup, where some of the tables are partially or fully blocked from viewing the stage. When you’re paying to enjoy entertainment along with your meal, it is completely understandable that you’d be frustrated with the lack of visibility of the performers.

While we do think that the quality and variety of food options have increased over the years that the restaurant has been in operation, there are plenty of other great cuisine options available throughout Disney Springs if all you’re looking for is a good meal. However, if you want to have a more eccentric dining experience, the live acts do put on excellent shows–assuming you can snag a table in a good viewing area!

STK Steakhouse

Credit: Disney Springs.

When visiting a high-end steakhouse, there are certain things that patrons come to expect, like cleanliness, top-notch service, and delicious, well-prepared food. Unfortunately, many customers who have visited STK Steakhouse felt that it did not live up to these common standards. The restaurant’s current rating on Yelp is 3.5 out of 5 stars.

One of the biggest complaints diners had was that the music was too loud to comfortably enjoy their meal. They also felt that it took too long to be seated and served, and that when their food arrived, it just didn’t live up to how expensive it was. There were even concerns about the bathrooms in the restaurant, with a few customers saying that they weren’t as clean as they should have been.

We feel that the noise concern could be resolved by the in-restaurant DJ turning his music down just a bit. That way, groups would still be able to chat during their meal while also enjoying the ambiance. Overall, there are plenty of better steakhouses within Walt Disney World property, but if you’re only going to be visiting Disney Springs, STK Steakhouse is an okay option.

T-Rex Cafe

Credit: MickeyVisit.com.

T-Rex Cafe is a fun and unique dining experience for those who love dinosaurs. It is a very similar concept to Rainforest Cafe, where you’re surrounded by giant animatronics and displays while you eat your meal, and the cuisine served is American staples like burgers, chicken, and salads. On Yelp, it has a rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Although the atmosphere of the restaurant is interesting and entertaining, many guests have complained that the food was average at best and didn’t live up to the hype of the eatery itself. There were also concerns about the lack of good service, as well as a few separate issues that arose with managers on duty while patrons were waiting for or having their meal.

T-Rex Cafe is definitely a restaurant that is best to dine at if you’re purely wanting to enjoy the surroundings and atmosphere inside. If you want a delicious, high-quality meal, there are many other options around Disney Springs that would probably be a better choice.

Smokehouse at House of Blues

Credit: Disney Springs.

The Smokehouse at House of Blues is a quick-service window on the West Side of Disney Springs that offers barbecue options like brisket, pulled pork, and various types of corn dogs. Its current rating on Yelp is 3.4 out of 5 stars, although it should be noted that many of the negative reviews are significantly older, with the most recent 1-star rating being from 2022.

Most of the negative reviews shared the belief that the food was of poor quality and overpriced for what it was. With so many other selections available throughout Disney Springs, it is understandable that people would choose to go where they know they’ll enjoy their meal and won’t mind how much it costs.

We feel that the fact that there aren’t many recent negative reviews is very notable. The menu has changed quite a bit since 2022, and with it, the food has improved as well. This is definitely a case of taking the negative reviews with a grain of salt, and we think it’s worth trying out if you enjoy barbecue and want something relatively quick.

Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante

Credit: Disney Springs.

At Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante, you have the opportunity to dine in a transformed airline terminal that overlooks Lake Buena Vista. On the menu, you’ll find a wide assortment of classic Italian dishes and drinks. According to patrons on Yelp, this dining establishment would be great if it had more timely service and higher-quality food. It currently sits at 3.4 out of 5 stars, with almost 600 reviews.

One of the biggest complaints on Yelp about Maria & Enzo’s was the fact that the food seemed to be overpriced for the quality that it was. Guests felt that, with how expensive everything on the menu was, the food itself felt rather lackluster in ingredients and taste. Additionally, several customers had a relatively long wait to be served after being seated, and when their food arrived at the table, the temperature wasn’t to their liking.

While those are very valid complaints to have, here at Mickey Visit, we’re fans of Maria & Enzo’s. The variety of menu options is great for groups made up of eaters with both picky and more mature palates, and we feel that the quality of the food is better than the other Italian restaurant options in Disney Springs. If you are craving decent Italian food when visiting, we think Maria & Enzo’s is a solid option.

Sprinkles

Credit: Disney Springs.

Although it may not necessarily be considered a restaurant, one of the lowest-rated sweet treat options at Disney Springs is Sprinkles, with 3.4 out of 5 stars. Serving a variety of desserts like cookies, brownies, ice cream, and (of course) cupcakes, Sprinkles has been a staple at Town Center in Disney Springs for a while now. Unfortunately, according to the Yelp reviews, the lack of customer service and the cost of the treats have made it less popular with guests.

Patrons claim that when they enter the store, there is often no one available to assist them with getting their order selected and packed up, and even when a worker is there and ready to help, they often appear to be sold out of many of the items. Those who have purchased the well-known cupcakes have also stated that they were just so-so in flavor and texture and not worth the cost assigned to them.

While we enjoy Sprinkles–especially the Cupcake ATM–we feel like the options there can be a little bit boring sometimes. Since there are so many excellent dessert places scattered around Disney Springs that have much higher quality desserts and for better prices too, we think it’s okay if you decide you’d rather skip Sprinkles and choose a different eatery.

YeSake Kiosk

Credit: Disney Springs.

Tucked away amongst several kiosks on the West Side of Disney Springs, YeSake Kiosk serves poke bowls, street food-style snacks, and a variety of Japanese alcoholic beverages. While it’s a great place to grab a bite if you want something quick and easy, not everyone agrees that it’s worth the stop. The food stand has 3.4 out of 5 stars on Yelp, making it one of the lower-rated quick pick-up options at Disney Springs.

It should be noted that many of YeSake Kiosk’s negative reviews are older, with the most recent 1-star rating coming in during 2024. However, there are not a lot of positive reviews within the last year, so it could very well be that the complaints are still valid. The biggest concern guests had was that the food came at Disney quick-service prices but did not taste good compared to some of the other fast dining options available to choose from in the area.

From our point of view, the menu is definitely unique when looking at the other choices available nearby. However, there are so many great quick-service places to choose from in Disney Springs that it doesn’t make sense to settle for one that serves subpar food and charges a similar amount for it. We recommend skipping this one and going for something that will be better in taste and quality.

Planet Hollywood

Credit: MickeyVisit.com.

The atmosphere at Planet Hollywood is unlike any other dining experience at Disney Springs. As you eat your meal, you’re surrounded by costumes and memorabilia from major films and a massive wall screen that showcases a variety of different video clips. Unfortunately, despite the amazing surroundings within the restaurant, it still has only 3.3 out of 5 stars on Yelp.

Like many of the other eateries on this list, the biggest concerns involved the quality of the food, service, and cleanliness of Planet Hollywood. Guests noticed that both the dining areas and the bathrooms could use more consistent cleaning, which can be a big turnoff when selecting where to eat. And although the food options sounded fun and interesting, they were only subpar in flavor.

In our opinion, the draw of Planet Hollywood definitely comes from the ambiance and experience patrons get to enjoy while they eat. If you’re looking for the best food in the area, this likely isn’t going to meet your expectations. But if you simply want to explore the exciting and interesting items within the giant globe the restaurant is housed in, then this is the place for you!

Rainforest Café

Credit: MickeyVisit.com.

Rainforest Cafe is a staple at Disney Springs, but many patrons feel that the dining experience is subpar at best. The restaurant, which serves basic American fare in an animal-filled jungle atmosphere, currently sits at a 3.2 out of 5 stars on Yelp, with over 1500 reviews in total. Although this chain can be found all over the United States, unhappy customers have stated that the Disney Springs restaurant lacks in food quality, speedy service, and a generally pleasant dining ambiance.

Although most guests claimed they arrived at their designated reservation time, many were seated much later than they had anticipated, and then it took even longer to receive their meals. When the food did arrive, it was boring and lacked in presentation and flavor. And even though the description of the restaurant does state that it is a lively and sometimes quite loud experience, people felt that it was too overstimulating to comfortably eat in.

In our opinion, you should be aware of what you’re getting into when you’re planning to eat at a Rainforest Cafe restaurant. It’s generally expected that with all the animals making noises and the thunderstorms every 15-20 minutes, it will be quite loud throughout your meal. And although there may be some exceptions, the food will be relatively average in most cases. If you’re planning to eat at Rainforest Cafe, knowing what you’re getting into will help curb your expectations a bit.

Paradiso 37

Sitting at the very bottom of the list with 2.8 out of 5 stars from over 1700 reviews is Paradiso 37. The restaurant offers various types of Hispanic dishes, and the bar boasts over 50 different types of tequila. There are also live musical performances to keep patrons entertained while they dine. However, these cool-sounding features are not enough to address the clear issues that many guests have had with the dining establishment.

There were several types of complaints made on the Yelp page for Paradiso 37, but the most common were about the taste and quality of the food, the noisiness of the atmosphere, and the long wait for service. Guests found that the food didn’t warrant the expensive price tag, and that it took a while to even receive their meals after placing their orders. While the live music is one of the highlights of the restaurant, diners felt that it was too loud to be able to properly enjoy it.

While the menu is fairly unique when compared to the other table service restaurants in Disney Springs, the food is quite costly, and it is understandable that guests would expect top-notch service and quality at that rate. If the music is uncomfortably loud indoors, guests always have the option of dining out on the beautiful patio instead, which is a great compromise.
